I know this is how it can feel at times – you’re

right at the basket, and you’re desperately trying

to make the shot only everyone’s opinions and

your own self doubt are getting in the way…

But here it is, your step by step guide to slam dunk

or even alley-oop your purpose into the hoop

uncovering what lies within your heart. But, before

we begin, a few essential pointers to get the

maximum value from your Work Book.

MOST IMPORTANTLY, DO NOT FILTER ANY OF YOUR

ANSWERS.

Do not stop, think nor deliberate – just write, and

when you think you’ve written down everything –

take a deep breath and write down at least 3 more.

OK. Ready? Are you sure? Pens at the ready,

because you’re about to take action…

Step One – The Time Machine

Lets go back to your childhood - when you where

around 9 – 12 years old and what used to make you

laugh out loud. Remember to write everything that

comes into your head and filter nothing.

What / who did you want to be when you wereyounger (approx. 9 to 12 years old)?

Who was your idol?

What was your favourite TV programme?

Page 7: by: KATRINA HOLDEN · 1. you’re raring to turn the page and keep on going, or 2. you’re lost back in Injun country, spitting pea shooters at the dog. It doesn’t matter because

Step One – The Time Machine

In your wildest dreams what or who did you wantto be?

Who was it in the programmes that you loved?

If it was Monkey because he had a magic cloud that

appeared when he whistled… I think you may be in

a little trouble…

Page 8: by: KATRINA HOLDEN · 1. you’re raring to turn the page and keep on going, or 2. you’re lost back in Injun country, spitting pea shooters at the dog. It doesn’t matter because

Step One – The Time Machine

Who were your role models when you wereyounger?

The reason you go back to your childhood is to

remember the fun and games you used to play. If

you’ve ever watched a small child lost in their own

world of make-believe, you get to see the

unconscious playing full out – not caring what the

world thinks - just pure, carefree joy.

These questions have allowed you to uncover who

you would have loved to have been.

Step Two – The Joy Factor

What have been your greatest moments ofachievement?

List your absolute highlights

What was happening? What were you doing?Who was around you?

Page 10: by: KATRINA HOLDEN · 1. you’re raring to turn the page and keep on going, or 2. you’re lost back in Injun country, spitting pea shooters at the dog. It doesn’t matter because

Step Two – The Joy Factor

What have been your happiest, most joyfulevents?

List your absolute highlights

What was happening? What were you doing?Who was around you?

Step Two – The Joy Factor

Themes / Common Threads?Your head is probably buzzing at this stage and I’m

positive you’re really eager to do one of two things

right now…

1. you’re raring to turn the page and keep on

going, or

2. you’re lost back in Injun country, spitting pea

shooters at the dog.

It doesn’t matter because whatever you’re doing,

your unconscious is working overtime and right

about now you’ll be discovering repeating themes

and co-incidences.

Page 12: by: KATRINA HOLDEN · 1. you’re raring to turn the page and keep on going, or 2. you’re lost back in Injun country, spitting pea shooters at the dog. It doesn’t matter because

Step Three – The Activity Road Show

Do you remember It’s A Knockout? Well, this

chapter is going to be a little like that only with less

water…

What I want you to do now is switch your thinking

to actual, physical doing. Or, to be precise,

thinking of when you where actually physically

doing!

Confused? Then my work here is done.

Now, I want you to think back over your life and in

all areas of your life and list the activities you’ve

done that lit up your soul.

And remember, when you feel you have listed

everything, you take a deep breath, and write at

least three more in each section. Take your time

over this one.

Now, pick up your pen and start scribbling…

What activities make you really happy, excited, joyful in your PERSONAL life?

Step Three – The Activity Road Show

What activities make you really happy, excited, joyful in your SOCIAL life?

Step Three – The Activity Road Show

What activities make you really happy, excited, joyful in your SPIRITUAL life?

You’ve gotta remember this, right? A Saturday night

essential… not that I expect you to be listing

activities like, carrying buckets of water over

greasy poles or rolling logs, whilst your mates are

squirting water or throwing custard pies at you.

Well, not in the spiritual section anyway…

Without trying to give you nightmares, this is the

part of the programme when we are going to enlist

the help of others.

Think of it a little like Britain’s Got Talent. You’re

up there giving it your all and when you’ve finished,

you turn to the judges for their feedback. But, do

not fear – there will be no Mr Cowell on your panel –

these guys are letting you know what they love

about you and what they believe you’re natural

gifts are.

I can guarantee some of their answers will surprise

you – our greatest talents are normally what we

take for granted and we have no idea the huge

impact they have.

So, once you’ve written down what you believe are

your greatest attributes – you’re then going to ask

your family and your friends, what they see you as

being naturally great at.

What are your greatest talents and naturalabilities?

Step Four – The Charlie’s Angel Has Talent

Page 16: by: KATRINA HOLDEN · 1. you’re raring to turn the page and keep on going, or 2. you’re lost back in Injun country, spitting pea shooters at the dog. It doesn’t matter because

Alesha – what do you think are my gifts andwhat do you love about me?

David – what do you think are my gifts and whatdo you love about me?

Simon – what do you think are my gifts and whatdo you love about me?

Amanda – what do you think are my gifts andwhat do you love about me?

Step Four – The Charlie’s Angel Has Talent

p.s. you realise I’m just being funny, right? I don’t expect you to phone Simon Cowell. Your Mum and your best mates, your boss or yourbrother or sister will be great people to ask too.

What is the ONE most important thing I wouldlove to accomplish in my personal life?

Step Five – “Now Angels, No Conclusion Leaping”Charlie Townsend on speaker phone

This is the step where we tune into our daydreams

and our imagination – with no conclusion leaping!

Just keep reminding yourself to trust whatever your

heart is telling you.

Now, I’m asking you to write just ONE thing that

speaks to you from your heart. And it doesn’t

matter if you think this one thing may be impossible

to achieve. Write it down.

Page 18: by: KATRINA HOLDEN · 1. you’re raring to turn the page and keep on going, or 2. you’re lost back in Injun country, spitting pea shooters at the dog. It doesn’t matter because

As you know by now, as a child I wanted to be one

of Charlie’s Angels. When I first asked myself this

next question, I Googled, ‘what are the essential

characteristics of Charlie’s Angels?”

And this was the answer;

1. Arse kicking

2. Hair

3. Fashion sense

4. Sweet ride

5. Intelligence

6. Deadly aim

7. Taste in men

8. Athletic prowess

I don’t think I have to say any more than that

really…

What are the characteristic traits you love inothers?

What are the characteristic traits you dislike inothers?

Step Six – Your Essential Characteristic Traits

What you’re actually doing now, is identifying the

qualities and values that are important to you.

Using others around us as a mirror can be really

helpful in discovering your purpose as well as

getting to know yourself better.

Personally, I believe mirroring is a great way to see

yourself and get a clearer understanding on where

you’re at right now… it is however, quite acceptable

to not count mirroring, if like me you find yourself

surrounded by friends who are completely bonkers.

Sometimes people are just bonkers – nothing to do

with me or you, at all.

Trust yourself – you are getting closer to your

purpose and you are getting closer to creating your

dream life.

What are the characteristic traits you arecommitted to living?

What do I want to achieve in my lifetime?

Step Seven – The Legacy of You

These next questions are for all areas in your life.

I WANT, I WANT, I WANT…

This is your time to get as creative as you like.

Listen to what’s bubbling up into your head and

write it all down – do not filter anything.

Just let your story come to life.

This is what I look likein the mornings beforemy first cup of coffee

And that, Ladies and Gentlemen is a kick-arse

seven step guide to finding your purpose.

I don’t know about you, but I’m bloody exhausted

and so, true to my CA inspired characteristics, I’m

off in my sweet ride for a spot of retail therapy

then onto the hairdressers where I’m going to take

deadly aim at the next man to walk through the

door…

Remember, this is not rocket science. Don’t make

this difficult for yourself. Trust yourself. You know

the answers because they are you – beautiful,

unique you.

With much love and athletic prowess,
