Y The world of hospitality revolves around return on
investment! Swiss International offers a robust business model to hotels on either a franchise or a management agreement. As such, the hotels can well position themselves in the market by taking full advantage of the sound established Swiss International Brands & Concepts as well as the Swiss International Commercial Value drivers in order to maximize its financial results. Next to the global distribution through the state-of-the-art central reservation system SWISS-REZ, the company offers a range of services like Marketing, Sales, Revenue Management, Reputation Management, SEO and Distribution Management in order to drive profitability. The hotels benefit furthermore from a robust support mechanism which includes extensive Business and Operational Support Sessions as well as tailored training and courses from the Swiss International Hospitality Academy. Swiss International is a global company with its International Services Center located in the UAE. Swiss International, currently has 36 hotels signed, of which there are 14 hotels in operation in 2018, 27 in 2019 and 36 in 2020. Swiss International intends to grow the management portfolio under the Superior First Class and luxury brands Swiss International Hotels & Resorts and the mid-market brand of Swiss Spirit Inn & Suites. Kennedie’s vision is to expand Swiss International globally via strategic co-operations and alliances. There are currently 10 offices worldwide and located in China, Bangladesh, India, Middle East, Turkey, Russia and Europe. Prior to Golden Tulip, Kennedie worked with Crest Hotels and Steigenberger Hotels in the Netherlands. Henri enjoyed his education at the Hotelschool The Hague, where he obtained a Bachelor’s in Hotel Administration. He moved the Corporate Head Office from Switzerland to the UAE (Ras Al Khaimah) in 2013.
Henri Kennedie was born into a hotel family. He is 3rd generation Kennedie in the hotel business. In the summer of 2010, Kennedie assumed the Management of Swiss International Hotels, which he transformed to a full-fledged hotel company offering hotel management, franchise and technical services. Until the spring of 2009, he served as President & CEO of the Golden Tulip Hospitality Group, where he dedicated over 25 years to the development and expansion of the Golden Tulip brands and sold it to Starwood Capital in 2009. In Golden Tulip, Kennedie had over 100 hotels under management.
Sabine von Niederhausern Director of Finance & Legal
Sabine, a Swiss national, has experience in finance and legal with Golden Tulip Hotels, several restaurant businesses and a consulting firm in Switzerland, called HEAL & partners. She has also set a Hotelschool in Switzerland for Chinese students. In addition, she was a lecturer at several hotelschools in Switzerland. Since 2010, she was actively involved in the repositioning of Swiss International. Initially in Gland, Switzerland and since 2013 in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. Sabine is also a member of the Management Committee.

Since 2018, Usama joined as Director of Operations & Systems. With his vast experience in the hotel business, he is the right man on the right place, now that Swiss International has entered the hotel operations side of the business, with 19 hotels under a management agreement (December ’18). Usama, a Jordanite national, has had different positions in the international hotel world, like (Area-) Financial Controller, General Manager, Owner’s representative with companies as Golden Tulip, Mövenpick and IHG. Usama is also a member of the Management Committee.
Clive Figaro Commercial & License Services Director.
Since 2013, Clive is with Swiss International in different capacities. In 2016, Clive went to set the office in Nairobi and with him the Commercial & License Services Department. Over the past 6 years, Clive has been very instrumental with the creation and upkeep of the typical Swiss International Commercial Products and services, such as the loyalty programs SWISS-SELECT and SWISS-DARLING. Prior to joining Swiss International was with Southern Sun and Starwood hotels and before that several independent hotels in the Seychelles, where Clive is a citizen from. Clive also is a member of the Management Committee.
