WHERE ARE TEMPERATE FOREST LOCATED?

In the eastern half of the U.S.A, Canada, Europe, parts of Russia, China and Japan.

TEMPERATE FOREST FUN FACTS

After the rainforest, the temperate deciduous gets the second-most amount of rainfall per year.

In the winter, precipitation (rainfall) is in the form of sleet, snow, and hail.

The 4 seasons happen because of the tilt of the earths axis.

The word Temperate means exactly what the leaves do change color in the fall, fall off in the winter and grow back in the spring.

year. The rat snake adapts to the Temperate

forest because it is a good climber. The Sugar Maple survives because it’s

roots absorb a lot of water. One place the Temperate forest is

located in eastern U.S.A.
