The freedom to move, to enjoyindependence or intimate moments - to be at one, whetheralone or with those closest to you. But atmosphere also buzzeswith chatter and laughter and dancing light - the sound of good

times amongst family and friends.

When asked if she can summarise her collection Cecilie smilesbefore answering; “It’s quite simple really… the name is a reflection of the situation. It’s all about creating atmosphere.”

ATMOSPHERE SOFAAtmosphere is of course not just about a feeling. Cecilie hasintuitively embraced the emotions behind the design in apowerful mixture of minimal, powder coated aluminium frames,generous boards of Gloster’s signature teak and cleverly

designed self-supporting upholstered panels.

ATMOSPHERE CHAISEFor the new Gloster Atmosphere collection, Danish designerCecilie Manz has drawn from observing couples, groups,friends and families interacting in seating areas - sliding downlow in comfortable furniture, tucking up legs, resting side by

side as stories are told and moments are shared.

Meeting for drinks or cooking outdoors, an impromptu take-outor simple snack - the more you relax, the longer you stay andthe better and more enjoyable the occasion is. Whether indoorsor out, the moments that endure remain the same and Ceciliehas captured the very essence of these moments with her

debut collection for Gloster.

ATMOSPHERE DINING CHAIR“This is why it felt natural” Cecilie says, “to lower the wholesetting, to enhance and welcome this feeling of comfort andquiet - when you wish to have slightly more relaxed moments,even a few centimetres in height makes a significant difference.Sitting lower pulls you into a familiar, soothing embrace

welcoming you to unwind and stay longer.”

The minimal aluminium frames are finished with a resilientpowder coating in Fossil colour and the self-supportingupholstered panels are covered with a selection of weatherresistant outdoor fabrics by Sunbrella. Accompanying seatpads are available in a variety of matching, muted colours.

ATMOSPHERE MATERIALSCecilie says “The materials in a project should reflect the usageof the pieces. Aluminium and teak are great materials foroutdoor spaces, the finish of the metal is robust, and the solidteak gets a beautiful grey patina over time. Combined with thefabric options, the palette is subtle and harmonious, revolvingaround muted, sophisticated tones. This collection combinessubtle colours and functional materials to arrive at practical,

unpretentious comfort where relaxation is key.”

ATMOSPHERE COLLECTIONThe Atmosphere collection is comprised of a series of diningand seating components that share slim lines and welcoming,

curved upholstered arms and backs.

Equally attractive as stand-alone items or in a collection, thesignature daybed/chaise lounge units are accompanied by animposing sofa and occasional tables that easily double asottomans or impromptu benches with the use of an upholsteredpad. Finally, in a nod to more traditional dining, yet still retainingthe simple and inviting styling of the concept, a dining table is

accompanied by a matching dining chair and bench.
