BACKGROUND INFORMATION Cfl light bulbs look a lot like ice cream

cones.Just like florescent tubes, cfl light bulbs

contain a very small amount of mercury covered within a glass tubing. Their most incredibly cool quality of all, is their energy saving who doesn’t want to feel good every day because you know your saving energy. They might be a little expensive but if you think about thirteen dollars is a little bit of money when it comes to saving 100 dollars off of her electric bill.

CAUSES AND EFFECTSHOW WILL WHAT YOU DO CHANGE YOUR LOCAL ENVIRONMENT?

Cause Effect

Switching to the cfc light bulb.

More energy is being saved

Using a regular light bulb not the CFL light bulb

you are using more energy

New cfl light bulbs have been invented

It will help the world a little more.

EXPERIMENT Using CFL Light bulbs will save you energy. If you are not using cfl Light bulbs then this

experiment will show how much you and the people in your house hold keep the lights on. Then to subtract how much energy you would save with a cfl Light bulb. Next you will use a cfl light bulb and see how much you and the family in the house hold keep the light on and see the amount of the regular light bulb and see how much time, and energy you've saved.

In this experiment I think that the CFL Light bulb will save more energy than the regular light bulb.

RESULTS The results of the experiment is that on the first day

(with regular light bulbs) I used light and electricity normally and recorded the number on my electric meter at 6:30 am as 73526 kw (kilowatts). At bed time that night at 9pm I checked my electric meter again and I read 73537. I finally subtracted the amounts of kw used today with came to 11kw in all used that day.

The next day in the morning I changed to a cfl light bulbs on the electric meter I read at 7:30 73568 kw. Again at 9 pm I recorded off of the electric meter 73554. I then subtracted the morning time from the night time and got 14 kw that full day. After the rushed two days finally added up or should I say subtracted up when I subtracted day 2 f

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The CFL light bulbs were invented my

Ed Hammer, an engineer with General Electric, who responded to the 1973 oil crisis.
