Alfa Europe B.V. was founded in 2001 in the Netherlands designing and manufacturer high quality butterfly valves for Oil &

Gas, Marine & Shipbuilding, Navy, Water & Energy markets. This was also the time when the management set the company’s

code of professional ethics and, together with the dynamic production team, began its drive to make the name ALFA Europe

synonymous with the double eccentric soft seated butterfly valves series S93 and S94.

It all comes down to basics. From the very beginning, the rules were

set total dedication to the industry, the very best service, unsurpassed

quality and a close eye on the latest technologicaldevelopments. What

was preached then is still being practiced today.

The dynamic workforce at ALFA VALVES designs standard and custom-

made valves, manufactures them to international standards, tests and

certify them and dispatches them all over theworld. On the manufacturing

side, ALFA VALVES offer the eccentric S93 and S94 butterfly valves in

any configuration and suited to any industry, as well as a variety of spare

parts. Yet what we at ALFA VALVES pride ourselves on most is our valve

design and the custom designs produced valves to client specifications

including actuating devices ranging from mechanical to remote control.

We know what down-time is, so we always stick to agreed deadlines.

After all, we don’t want to see our customers loosing time and money.

THE DOUBLE ECCENTRIC DESIGN PRICIPLE

It effects friction-free contact between body and

seat because the rotation axis (stem) of the

valve disc has a double offset from the center

equal to dimensions of A and B (See sketch).

Because of the double offset a cam effect is

produced which prevents wear of the seal

surface, decreases seating torque and offers

longer service life and easy operation.

Equipment Directive.

2. Type approvals Alfa butterfly valves are approved for applications in a number of market areas by international classifications societies. The most important ones

4. Material inspection certificates Valve parts, eg body, disc, can be supplied on request with inspection certificates of the material supplier (foundry) according EN 10204,

3.1 subject to material type. Other specifications are possible.

5. Testing inspection certificates All valves are pressure and functional tested after assembly according to internal quality procedures which comply with international standards.

Inspection certificates according EN 10204, 3.1, 3.2 can be submitted on request.
