Shane ArcherManager, Oil and GasABB in Australia

Shane joined ABB in New Zealand in 1989 in engineering and assumed sales responsibilties for the process and utility automation areas. In 2007, he moved to Australia taking positions in automation service and his current role as Local Business Unit Manager Oil and Gas. His strong technical and commercial background in the field of process control and electrification and lifecycle management has contributed to ABB’s success and growth in the Oil and Gas sector in Australia. The Oil and Gas business unit in Australia is currently delivering green field projects in the oil and gas market including coal seam gas. The unit also provides lifecycle support and evolution to a considerable installation base. Shane is based in Brisbane, Australia.

Gal Brandes Global Product Manager for Specialty Fluids

Gal Brandes has occupied several international positions in the electro-technical industry in Europe and Asia, and joined ABB in 2008. Before assuming his current role, Gal managed supplies of specialty fluids for ABB Transformers and lead several successful developments of insulating fluids with external suppliers. In 2012 he became ABB’s Global Product Manager for specialty fluids, and took over the responsibility for BIOTEMP. Gal is currently based in Swit-zerland.

Eduardo Gallestey and John Jessop (Ventyx)Product Manager, Advanced Process Control and Business Development for Integrated Mine OperationsABB in Zurich

Eduardo Gallestey holds a Master of Science in Physics and a Ph.D. degree in Control Theory. He joined ABB in 2000 to work at the ABB Research Centre in Baden, Switzerland in model-based control techniques for the minerals and power generation industries. Since then Eduardo has held several positions in the fields of Product Management and Technology Development. Currently, he is Product Line Manager for Advanced Process Control in ABB’s Process Automa-tion Division. Further, he coordinates the activities of ABB’s Minerals Business Unit with respect to Ventyx portfolio. Eduardo teaches nonlinear control courses at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich.
