Last July American Allstars addedkarate to its family of physical activities andnow has nearly 200 kids working their waythrough the belt ranks.

"Karate has been a great addition andthe community support has beentremendous," Gosselin said. "Having more

than 800 kids already involved in ourgymnastics program it just made sense tooffer karate which appealed to more kids inour current families, as well as new families.We will look to keep adding programs ourfamilies want their children to be involvedin. It saves parents time and money runningthe kids all over town to different facilities."

This year they added a new fitnesscenter named "The Edge," which is notyour typical fitness center. It's designedwith kids in mind, giving them the "EDGE"they need to succeed in all sports.

"It's an unconventional workout,"Gosselin said. "We'll use unique andcreative methods to gain flexibility, balanceand strength. The rock wall will not just befor fun, but for physical fitness to buildcore, shoulders, hamstrings and legs. It'sfun and physical fitness coming together fora great workout."

you've heard the name — Lunghamer. Andnow with two locations in WaterfordTownship to better serve customers,Lunghamer Buick GMC continues itstradition of selling and servicing GMvehicles. And they work hard for theircustomers on the weekend, just like anyother business day.

"We've always been open on Saturdaysfrom 9 to 5," said Joe Lunghamer. "It's justanother business day for us. We want toprovide convenience for our customers."

One key to providing great customersales and service is to know yourcustomers; and at Lunghamer, havingemployees who stick around helpstremendously.

"We have many employees who havebeen with us for quite awhile," Lunghamersaid. "A lot of our employees at the GMCstore came over with us from theChevrolet store. We've been in thecommunity a long time and we take goodcare of our customers."

Part of taking care of customers isproviding a convenient and nice place todo business. Taking part in GM's imageprogram, Lunghamer Buick GMC hasupdated its facility and has moreimprovements coming.

"We've completely renovated ourshowroom and the service drive, and we'veadded a new look to the front of thebuilding. We've painted everything andwe're basically brand new," Lunghamersaid.

With the dealership's recentrenovations, Lunghamer was awarded abeautification award by WaterfordTownship.

A comfortable, clean customer loungeawaits anyone who is waiting for serviceand parts, as well as contemplating apurchase. There's cable TV and work areasfor those who need to stay on top of theirbusiness while getting their vehicleserviced. There are plans to add a WI-FIconnection in the near future.

"We are a full-service dealership with acollision shop, a parts department andservice, and we have our own loaner carsfor rentals," Lunghamer said. "And we offercourtesy shuttles to take customers to workwhile we service their vehicles. We havecoffee and just try to take care of ourcustomers as best we can."

Of course, there are plenty of new andused vehicles on the Lunghamer BuickGMC lot to choose from.

"The used car business is growing dueto the state of the economy and willcontinue to grow, and we are working toensure our customers have a large selectionof quality used vehicles and certified pre-owned vehicles to choose from," he said,adding there are warranties available onused cars.

"The quality of the cars that have beenmade the past few years has increasedtremendously and that greatly improves thereliability of these cars," Lunghamer said."If a vehicle still is under warranty, theCertified Pre-Owned program will increasethat warranty by 12 months or 12,000miles. Normal warranties are three-years or36,000 miles, but now you can get four-years or 48,000 miles. Buick even offers afive-year or 60,000 mile warranty."

Lunghamer has a building dedicatedsolely to used and Certified Pre-Ownedvehicles.

On the new car lot, the 2010 BuickLacrosse will be in showrooms by the endof July and ready for delivery to yourgarage.

"This vehicle should do for Buick whatEnclave did for Buick in terms of thecrossover," he said. "It brings shoppers intothe showroom who are looking for that

vehicle on its own merits. The Enclave wasa very desirable vehicle when it wasintroduced. The Buick Lacrosse is going todo the same thing and bring in folks whoweren't thinking about a Buick. It's now ontheir shopping list."

Not to be outdone, GMC also has anew vehicle for 2010 that will replace thepopular Envoy, but not at the same size.

"The 2010 GMC Terrain will be out thissummer, as well," Lunghamer said. "It'ssmaller than the Acardia and Enclave sportutility but built with the same GMCprofessional grade technology, look, andGMC heritage as it replaces the Envoy. Itwill be complimentary to our larger SUVs,and it's more of a crossover. These vehicleswill be very important in the new GM andits future."

Lunghamer hinted that GMC andBuick are just getting started in bringingout additional incredible vehicles.

"There's new product coming in thenext two years that will enhance eachbrand," he said. "The things I've heard thatare coming out are very exciting and willbe great for our customers."

With 40 employees currently (and 60 atthe Chevrolet store), Lunghamer BuickGMC is proud to be able to help support

families during these difficult economictimes.

"Our family of dealerships is helpingkeep families going in this tough time andthat's very important to us," Lunghamersaid.

Selling, servicing and maintainingvehicles for those in the lakes area is ahuge priority for the Lunghamer stores, buthelping out in the community andsurrounding area is always a top priority.

"We've always supported local highschools and some of the golf outings," hesaid. "We always get requests to help out,whether it's with the yearbook ads, or thehole-in-one prize for the WaterfordChamber of Commerce golf outing. We tryto participate as much as we can. We don'tdo one huge thing but we do lots of littlethings and do our best to help out withlocal causes in general."
