About Kolon Plastics
Kolon Plastics-Growing with our customers as a POM Global Leader
Kolon Plastics was established in March 1996 as a joint venture between Kolon
Industries Inc. in Korea and Toray Industries Inc. in Japan. Production
began in 1998 with capacity and sales of 25,000MT/year. After
the 2nd factory line was completed, we produce 57,000MT
of POM and 50,000MT of the other compouding materials
a year. As a specialist POM manufacturer with the
engineering plastics technology. Ourpriority is to create
customer solutions and to grow with our customers as a
POM global leader.
Our management philosophy, which has been inherited
from our parent company, emphasizes the role and social
responsibility of the enterprise as well as an enlightened
attitude toward each member of our organization.

Introduction of SPESIN® KOPET®
What is SPESIN®-PBT ?SPESIN has excellent mechanical, thermal and elect-ric features. SPESIN is a
thermal plastic resin with exc-ellent electric features, and is widely used
as major parts in general industries. It is especially widely used in
electricity and electronics industries.
What is KOPET®-PET ?KOPET has excellent long-term heat resistance and e l e c t r i c i t y
non-conductivity, and is an excellent material that does not
decrease its mechanical and electric physical features under highly
moist conditions as it has low moist-absorption.

Cautions in use
1. Read the user’s manuals and MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) carefully before using SPESIN®,
KOPET® and SPELLOY®
2. As SPESIN®, KOPET® and SPELLOY® are packed with moisture proof method in their dry conditions,
please make sure to open it right before using it.
3. Please comply with the followings in using SPESIN®, KOPET® and SPELLOY®
(1) Eliminate the resin from cylinder before and after the work. Particularly, eliminate the resin completely
so as not to have some of it left in the cylinder, nozzles and hot runners.
(2) Furthermore, when you cleanse the cylinder with other resins, use a transparent polystylene.
(3) When you use the resin after having it opened for a long time, dry it in the dehumidifier with an air
exhauster under the condition as shown below before use.
*SPESIN® : 120C x 4 hours *KOPET® : 140C x 4 hours *SPELLOY® : 110C x 6 hours
(4) When resin is exposed to open air with resin temperature lower than room temperature, the moisture
on the surface of resin can be congealed.
So keep the temperature of package the same with or higher than room temperature before use.
