The video from the cameras is recorded locally on-board and transferred to a centralized storage archive when the buses are parked in the depot overnight.

Designed for on-board bus surveillance, the Shyam Bus Surveillance Solution is built around Shyam’s IP network cameras. These cameras feature megapixel resolution for detailed imaging that makes it easy to accurately identify faces and other crucial details.

Shyam’s IP Cameras come with built-in 2-way audio which is supported by Power over Ethernet (PoE), ideal for mobile applications because it only requires a single network cable for full event-driven recording with audio and video.

ACCESS TO LIVE VIDEO HELPS YOU TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTIONVideo from the buses is viewed in real-time from a control center/headquarters. In case of an incident, officers at the central control room can look at the live video from the bus to make a correct assessment of the situation and decide what action to take or whether to involve the police/emergency services.

GPS/GLONASSWith built-in GPS, officers at the central control room can follow the bus on a digital map, understand its speed, while watching live video from the cameras on-board.

GPS data is recorded with video footage to give a clearer picture of events leading up to an incident. In an emergency management application, if there is something unpleasant happening on the bus, the ability to identify the exact location of the bus is crucial. Should a vehicle be involved in an traffic accident, the precise path of that vehicle can be tracked with GPS, establishing liability.
