Grading in this class All assessment guides/rubrics for all assignments and exams were determined prior to the

class starting. Most of the assessment metrics are documented in the syllabus. All grades are posted in WebCT Grade calculation (from Syllabus)

Mid Term Exam (Chapter 1-9) 15% Final Exam (Chaps 1-9 and Cases) 25% Assignments (5 @ 5%) 25% Case Presentations 25% Pre-professional Conduct 10%

If you want to know what you current grade is GO to WebCT and DO the math Midterm Grades were reported Feb 21 (you got them a month later)

(Assignment 1+2+3)/3 = Midterm grade Any of you that were missing anything received a midterm warning

Grading in ALL of my class is objective and dispassionate Assessment ALLWAYS supports the grade assigned

A 90 - 100 % B 80 - 89 % C 70 - 79 % D 60 - 69 % F 0 - 59 %

A Philosophy of Education Secondary Education

Bloom level 1 (mostly) with some level 2 exposure

100 level course Bloom level 1 & 2

200 level course Bloom level 2 & 3 & 4

300 level course Bloom level 3 & 4 & 5

400 level course (and graduate school) Bloom 4 & 5 & 6

The practice of Strategic Management is at Bloom level 4, 5 & 6 Chapter 1-9 was Bloom 2, 3, 4 & 5; so was the midterm My job is to get you to those higher level of cognitive ability Case Study analysis exposes you to level 4, 5 & 6 cognitive abilities Final will be be level 2-6

The business management program is beginning to use Bloom taxonomy which is one of the most widely accepted models for student outcome assessment in higher education. The eCommerce program is based on Blooms taxonomy from the very beginning
