SPIKE 3-pin, pictured above, follows in the tradition of the original 3 pin step-in Telebulldog binding. We use the

same rugged base with 6 hole mounting pattern as other SPIKE bindings, and a newly re-contoured toe box to provide

and tight, sensitive 3 pin tele skiing experience.

SPIKE Tour, pictured above, is a light, compact, touring specific binding that mounts directly to the ski and provides

full rotation for free pivot touring. Performs similarly to the SPIKE XT with power to spare on those uncut lines

SPIKE NT, pictured above, exemplifies the versatility of the bulldog binding, with a symmetrical toe box that is

contoured specifically for NTN boots. The carving power of this binding is unparalleled. Heel retention goes to the rear

of the boot for a more traditional telemark feel. Boot activated ski brake is standard with this assembly.

Below is the SPIKE XT with double barrel heel assembly...

The double barrel heels are offered as an option especially for larger boot sizes. This creates a heel assembly with

increased spring travel, and makes the binding significantly more active depending on the spring installed.

The heel attachment assembly is easily modified, and there are multiple types of springs that can be installed to change

the ride. There are several pivot attachment points in the rear of the toe box which helps accommodate all boot sizes

and changes the character of the ride.

Changing the retention springs requires the removal of a single bolt across the forward end of the spring housing. The

springs are then changed easily, without tools by removing the cross pin while compressing the springs.

The ski brake is a separate assembly that is mounted under the toe of the binding is a standard feature for lift service

binding assemblies.

The ski brake plate also can be used as a mounting template. The pin line (center mounting point) and center line of the

binding are clearly marked. Pinpoint marker holes have been molded in the mounting holes to accurately mark drill

holes on the ski.

The SPIKE mounts to the ski using 6 mounting holes. We retained the standard 4 hole mounting pattern but extended 2

additional holes towards the rear of the binding. The extended mount is important for newer skis built with lighter core

materials and for bindings with more active under foot springs (such as the double barrel).

SPIKE bulldog bindings have parts compatibility across models. The NT, XT, Tour, and 3 pin SPIKE share the same base

assemblies.

Our bindings have modular designs so they are easy to disassemble and reassemble into different binding models.

Older bindings can be rebuilt and share many of the same parts as the SPIKE.

Two bolts in the front of the binding allows removal of the toe box from the base of the binding (without removing the

binding from the skis).

...slide a 3 mm hex into the front cross bar to prevent it from rolling (a hole has been drilled through the mid section of

the crossbar for this purpose, red arrow) and remove the 2 front bolts.

The ski brake actuator has four tapped holes to place screws for boot retention and adjust for thinner or thicker boot

soles. The screws are easy to install by hand or with a screwdriver.

SPIKE bindings can be adapted for free pivot touring with a few simple additional touring parts.

SPIKE release toggle and touring clip detail...

To engage the tour mode: Depress the release toggle with your pole and push the tour clip back with your free hand.

To disengage the touring clip, push the release toggle down with your pole and lever the pole forward.

Plenty of travel for free pivot touring.

Rotation stoppers are cut out so that they bend and self adjust in case you need more rotation.

The touring wire flips up or down easily with a flick of your pole.
