This project involved the refurbishment of an existing bund. The bund itself was designed to contain the release of chemicals from an indoor processing facility. A chemically compatible lining that was also seamless and abrasion resistant was required. In this instance, we removed the defective layers, applied timber decking to add structural reinforcement. Fibreglass laminate was applied to the bund wall and a polyester resin topcoat was applied. The result was a durable and robust lining compliant with HSE regulations on secondary containment spill bunds.
