THE COUNSELING CENTER WILL BE CLOSED DECEMBER 23 THROUGH JANUARY 1.

Regular business hours, Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, resume on January 2. If you are in need of help, The Counseling Center has provided these resources:

HEartLand FamiLy SErvicE 402-553-3000 LutHEran FamiLy SErvicES 402-342-7007 JEwiSH FamiLy SErvicE 402-330-2024

Please note that dialing 2-1-1 from any phone will provide assistance in accessing resources.

The holidays are often as stressful as they are fun. If you anticipate a difficult holiday season, make sure to reach out to your support system and ask for additional care. This could be in the form of spending more time together or simply calling/texting more often. Also, consider taking breaks from family and friends if you feel the need to decompress. Too often we put pressure on ourselves during the holidays to move from one obligation to the next and lose sight of our need for quiet reflection. It may also help to keep your sleep schedule as regular as possible. Get those eight hours of sleep a night that you might have missed during the semester! Finally, regular exercise and reasonable nutrition in the face of all the extra holiday goodies go a long way in helping to make the season merrier instead of stressful.

The Counseling Center wishes you a restful, relaxing, and rejuvenating holiday break!
