    The Epiphany of the Lord

    In todays gospel, Christs gift, which is for all people, is revealed to the Magi. We reveal through our

    families the presence of Christ in our lives. Our gift of love, like Christs, is meant to be shared witheveryone.

    Springtime of Hopesitem for the month of January is Deodorant.Please place your donations inside the bench in front of the giving tree in the vestibule, items will be

    picked up on Monday morning. Thank you very much for your donations, especially at this time of the

    year, when there are so many in need. Your thoughtfulness is greatly appreciated.

    (Insert Graphic 2304-0054.tif) The SVDP Society delivered 101 Food Baskets; 50 forThanksgiving and 51 for Christmas. There are so many people to thank. The children of St.Augustine Grade school who provided over 3000 cans of food to supply all the basketsgenerously, the workers who prepared the baskets and all those who delivered them. It could

    not be accomplished without all these people. A special thanks to the Babcock and Wilcox Co.-Nuclear Operations Group for donating 50 Turkeys for the Christmas Baskets. Another specialthanks to the Barberton Foundation for their generous $1000 Grant which went a long way indefraying the cost of the SVDP Society. Because of the hard work and generosity of thosementioned, the holidays for many of Barbertons less fortunate were made a little brighter.Thank You!

    ATTENTION YOUTH GROUP: January Youth Group dates will be Sunday the

    13 & 27. All high school youth are invited to attend and bring a friend! Thank you

    to the St. Augustine Youth Group who made ten fleece baby blankets to be presented

    to the Elizabeth Ministry on Christmas Eve.

    The St. Augustine 2013 Calendars are inif you did not receive your copylast weekend; please make sure to pick one up in the vestibule of the church.Thanks again to Silva-Hostetler & Cox Funeral Homes for providing

    calendars again this year.

    CULTURE OF LIFE The next meeting will take place in the rectory on January 8, 2013 following the

    5:15pm Mass & Benediction. Tuesday, January 22 will mark the 40th

    Anniversary of Roe v Wade the case

    Come and See - Tuesday, January 8, 2013 Fr. Joseph Mamich will reflect on

    Scripture 101: Bible Basics for Catholics through discussion and music. The presentation

    will begin at 7:00pm in Blessed Trinity Church (formerly St. Martha). Following the

    presentation, there will be an opportunity for small group discussions, including time for

    individual conversations with Fr. Joseph. Everyone is welcome to attend! The next gathering will be

    February 5Becoming Blessings for the World.

    The Catholic University of America is the national university of the Catholic

    Church in the United States, located in Washington D.C. It provided anacademically rigorous education guided by Catholic intellectual tradition of

    nearly 7,000 students every year. More than 4,000 students directly receive

    scholarship aid from this collection, including many from our diocese. Next

    week is the National Collection for The Catholic University of America.
