    Third Sunday in Ordinary Time

Jesus announces in Lukes gospel that he comes to proclaim liberty to captives and announce a year of

favor for the Lord. Far too many families are held captive and victimized by domestic violence. One

third of all women have experienced abuse. Families need not live in fear! There is help for victims andabusers. Break the silence and call for help.

Your words, O Lord, are Spirit and life. (Ps 19) How does your faith community reveal the Spirit of the Lord to those who

are outsiders? How do you live the teachings of Jesus to bring glad tidings to the poor? How are you and your faith community in solidarity with the entire Body of Christ

around the world?Indeed, many Christians dedicate their lives with love to those who are lonely,

marginalized or excluded, as to those who are the first with ta claim on our attention andthe most important for us to support, because it is in them that the reflection of Christs

own face is seen (PF 14)

320 Holy Hours were kept before the Blessed Sacrament this past week. Jesuschose this very special way to remain here with us. It was not just an empty promisewhen Jesus said, "I will be with you all days, even to the end of the world". He meant

that! Jesus remains here with us today in the Mass as our Savior, in Holy Communion, as ourspiritual food and in our tabernacle as our friend. Jesus died on the cross to give us thissacrament of His presence among us. This is the sacrament of Jesus' love for us. Can you giveJesus one hour a week? Please call Judy Soltis at 330-212-0926.

the ad in the bulletin two weeks ago, there has not been one call regarding assistance with this very

special/needed ministry at St. Augustine. Providing luncheons for grieving families is a loving work of

mercy. Covered dishes can be as simple as a bag of salad and dressing, rolls, a can of green beans,

macaroni and cheese or as complex as your favorite homemade recipe. When all the dishes come

together, we, the parishioners of St. Augustine, have provided a beautiful, enjoyable meal for the

grieving family to share. Please consider becoming a part of this special ministry. Without you, this

cannot be accomplished. If you are interested, contact the rectory at 330-745-0011. Meals are

provided on a rotating basis, depending on the number of funerals we have a week/month.

Barberton Area Community Ministries item for the Month of February is Soup.

Springtime of Hopesitem for the month of February is Shaving Cream and Razors.
