MEMORANDUM TO ALL MOST HOLY REDEEMER EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS
As per Father Carina, if anyone needs to take Communion to the
elderly, sick, or homebound, please DO NOT go to the tabernacle on your own to take the host. If you need to bring Communion to someone, please ask Father Carina, Deacon Keith, or Deacon Bob, and they will get the host for you. Only the Deacons or Priest are allowed to take Communion from the tabernacle. Due to the current COVID situation, it is not sanitary and risky if we have multiple people handling the ciborium and putting your hand inside it to remove the host.

FROM THE PASTOR'S DESK
This Sunday, October 4th is Respect Life Sunday. We continue as a Church to pray and work towards a renewal of minds
and hearts on the sanctity of human life. Since Life questions such a legalized abortion and legalized euthanasia are not only moral questions but also a consideration for purposes of voting, we have placed on our website information from the National Bishops Conference entitled, “The Challenge of Forming Consciences for Faithful Citizenship.” These bulletins from the Bishops Conference provide us with important material for reflection. Whether you have voted or not, I recommend you read them for your own instruction. On a different note, I would like to thank the Holy Name Society, who organized the raffle. Unfortunately, we could not hold the raffle at the annual picnic. Hopefully, next year will be a safer climate. Congratulations to our Holy Name raffle winners: 1st prize Juan Giraldo $1398 2nd prize Janice Droner $ 400 3rd prize Charles Goldin $ 200
Blessings! Father Carina

PRAYER IN TIME OF OUR COMMON NEED In response to the spread of COVID – 19
within our communities Diocese of Metuchen, New Jersey
Our Lady of Guadalupe, Mother of God
and of the people of Metuchen you always shine on our path as a sign of salvation and hope.
We rely on you, Health of the Sick, you who, at the cross, united with Jesus' pain,
keeping steadfast your faith You, Salvation of God's people,
you know what we need and we are sure that you will provide for us,
as at Cana of Galilee, after the adversity of these days, may joy and celebration return. Help us, Mother of Divine Love,
to conform to the will of the Father and to do what Jesus tells us,
who has taken our suffering upon Himself and has burdened Himself with our sorrows
to lead us through the cross, to the joy of resurrection. Amen.
Under your protection, Holy Mother of God, Our Lady of Guadalupe, we seek refuge,
hear our prayer and intercede for us to the Father so that we may be free from every danger,
Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us.
