The evening fin- ished with hot chocolate with marshmallows, fol- lowed by a good old sing-a-long around the camp- fire. Thank you to all the adults for organising the event and to all the parents for collecting their chil- dren so promptly. Bulletin 4 — Friday 28th September 2018 Unfortunately, there have been a few incidents this week where children have not been following our Golden Rules. In response, our assembly yes- terday focused on showing respect by speaking kindly and not hurting oth- ers with words or actions. We also reminded children of our expectation that they show good manners to each other and all adults. We will follow up any incidents where children show disrespect and would ask that you support us in this, by reinforcing this message at home. We are very sad to inform you that Mrs Clampin (LSA in year 6) will be leav- ing us today to start a new job. Im sure you will join us in wishing her all the best for the future. Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you all after the weekend. Yr 5 Visit to Ashley Baptist church As part of our topic on 'God Talk' where we learn about different interpretations of the idea of God, Year Five visited Ashley Baptist Church. We found out a great deal about the role of the Church in the local community and the importance of God to Chris- tians. This led nicely into some more discussion in class considering other ideas about God. We would like to thank our friends at Ashley Baptist Church, especial- ly Rachel White, for welcoming us and helping us to provide a local context for our learning in school.

Fun Friday

Fun Friday—what a terrific evening we had last Fri-

day. The children thoroughly enjoyed all the fantastic

activities such as: parachute games, making fruit

kebabs, calming ‘Zentangles’ and exploring the

whole school (even upstairs along the year 5 and 6

corridor) during the treasure hunt. The evening fin-

ished with hot chocolate with marshmallows, fol-

lowed by a good old sing-a-long around the camp-

fire. Thank you to all the adults for organising the

event and to all the parents for collecting their chil-

dren so promptly.

Bulletin 4 — Friday 28th September 2018

Unfortunately, there have been a few incidents this week where children

have not been following our Golden Rules. In response, our assembly yes-

terday focused on showing respect by speaking kindly and not hurting oth-

ers with words or actions. We also reminded children of our expectation that

they show good manners to each other and all adults. We will follow up any

incidents where children show disrespect and would ask that you support us

in this, by reinforcing this message at home.

We are very sad to inform you that Mrs Clampin (LSA in year 6) will be leav-

best for the future.

Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you all

after the weekend.
