Wow! What a bull. Hired Gun has grown from a moderate 90 pound birth weight into a deep incredibly soft made bull. We bought Hired Guns dam from the Moose Creek Simmentals dispersal sale site un-seen and he was the ticket she was carrying. When she hopped off the trailer we were not disappointed. She is a HUGE volume cow, with tones of capacity to her. We didn’t know much about the bull she was bred to as it was they’re walking calving ease sire but as you can see the breeding worked! Hired Gun is a bull a feel will work in the heifer pen with a lower birth weight and calving ease built throughout his pedigree you can’t go wrong. That being said, he is much more than just a heifer bull. He has the ability to work both ends of the pen and make a difference doing it. Good cow, great pedigree and an even better bull. Here’s the second of our two red bulls in this year’s offering and he gives nothing up to the other. He may be the youngster of the pen but you wouldn’t know it by looking at him. He has kept pace with the older bulls and passed some along the way. When purchasing a herd bull we feel it’s essential for the bull to be backed by a strong dam and Baby Duck may just have the best on the farm. She is without a doubt the best red cow on the place and maybe the best in the herd! We thought enough of her to hold her over to headline our small fall calving program. This is how we like to raise them, deep, soggy and good! Schmidt is without a doubt in my mind the deepest soggiest bull we have raised to date. This comes as no surprise if you look at his dam who was purchased by Glen Norton for us out of the Moose Creek Simmentals dispersal sale. What a job Glen did as she is an awesome cow with perfect feet and legs at 10 years of age! Although she did a good job raising Schmidt, he really started to take off post weaning being our highest gaining bull during that time. Here is a smaller framed bull that might give up a few pounds on the scale but is he is just plain good. He will never be a towering individual but I when he’s mature he will be a sight to see. His dam has been a real solid bull producer for us as Brubaker will be her fourth bull calf to sell! Brubaker is a bull that was noticed by quite a few visitors this summer for his dark cherry red hair coat and his unbelievable muscle mass. If you have read my footnotes in previous years you will know exactly what I think of this bulls Dam. We have bred her to a different bull every year and have got the same result each time that’s what I call consistency. When we pulled Native Son from the tank we were hoping for a red calf but when they turn out this good it just doesn’t matter! This bull is chalked full of power being our number one weaning and yearling weight bull. When visitors come over to tour our bullpen he is always one of the first picked out and is no wonder why with his length of spine and huge quarter not to mention his immense thickness. You could eat a Christmas dinner on his back and that is not far from the truth. If you’re looking for a bull to give you a strong set of replacement females Warnizer will do the trick. Backed by our walking herd sire Warner and DFM Marcus 14M on the bottom side this bull is full of maternal breeding. We don’t have many Marcus females but the few we do are unreal! This bull got his name the day he was born when I went into the barn to see if he had been born and I saw him for the first time. The first words that came out of my mouth were “beast mode” and the name has stuck ever since. He wasn’t very big but had incredible length and was as thick as they get and weighed in at a very moderate 102 pounds. He hasn’t slowed down since that day and has grown into an impressive bull calf. Out of all the Warner bull calves we have had, Beast Mode reminds me more of him than any other. This is a very bold statement as Warner has grown into an impressive mature bull to say the least.

This bull isn’t the flashiest bull in the pen but is one that will go out and do a great job. No, he’s not the most desirable color but color aside he may be the best put together bull in our offering. Rufus is a big topped deep ribbed, wide hipped bull that moves like a cat. Watching this bull move is a treat and is something we strive to produce in our bulls. If you remember the rave reviews last year of this guys dam. It was about how Sheryl really liked this cow. You could always count on her to bring something worth looking at whether it is a keeper heifer or a bull calf to bring to the sale. TeRMS & CondITIonSTeRMS: The terms of the sale are cash or cheque payable in Canadian Funds at par immediately following the sale. The right of ownership shall not pass until after settlement is made. All settlements must be made before any livestock will be released.

deLIVeRY: Bulls will be wintered free of cost until April 1, 2014 providing the bulls going back to their farm are insured for all risks from the date of sale until purchaser obtains possession. After such date there will be a $3.00 per head per day charge per bull. Assistance with deliv-ery arrangements will be made available at cost.

FLeCKVIeH STATUS: All bulls that are at least 5 genera-tions Fleckvieh are considered Full Fleckvieh. Fleckvieh percentages are determined by each individual consignor to the best of their knowledge. It is recommended if further research is required, to check with the Simmental Association.

InSURAnCe: Cattle are the property of the buyer as soon as the auctioneer declares them sold therefore buyers are urged to insure their animals. An insurance salesper-son will be in attendance.

CeRTIFICATe oF RegISTRY: After settlement has been made the buyer will be provided with the proper registration papers, duly transferred on the record of the Canadian Simmental Association. Further transfer to the herd books of other countries shall be at the buyers expense.

BReedeRS gUARAnTee: Standard terms set forth by the Canadian Simmental Association, with the exception where any animal is subject to any hormonal or surgical reproduction techniques after the sale, the guarantee shall be null and void.

ACCIdenTS: Although every precaution will be taken to protect the safety and comfort of buyers and public, neither the consignors, auctioneer, sales staff of facility assumes any responsibility in this matter and disclaims any liability, legal or otherwise, in the event of accident or loss of property.
