Services
Projects
• Website• Extranet (Trampoline)• Contact databases• Newsletter• Events• Trainings• Regional support

blueprints and regulatory frameworks• Focus on distributed generation and off-grid systems
Finance• Development of business models and economic
rationale to make projects “bankable”• Attracting finance via project bundling
Awareness• Communication of the benefits of renewables and
energy efficiency

• Setting up renewable energy Financing Foundation for ASEAN region
Business Opportunity - ESCOs
Energy Service Companies (ESCO) are a method of financing energy efficiency projects.
• Black Economic Empowerment in South Africa
• Philippine ESCO for energy efficiency upgrades in schools, hospitals, water districts & industrial parks
• Capacity building in Western China for the development of ESCOs
Innovative Finance – promoting JI/CDM
• Business Model for PV Pumps in Brazil
• Micro-finance models for Solar Lighting in Himalayas
• Business Model for Biomass project in Philippines
• Promotion of WWF’s Gold Standard PDD for CDM & JI
Benefits of becoming a REEEP Partner

Priorities of REEEP moving forward
• Attract investment (public & private) into the partnership and into RES/EE projects
• Build membership base to increase global presence
• Establish more regional secretariats for local delivery
• Best use of resources through strengthened collaboration with existing energy initiatives (e.g. MEDREP, JEREC)
• Build capacity from existing projects in order to ‘scale-up’ learnings into other markets
