If you get too attached to what you want to teach and push out to the world, instead of listening and responding to exactly what your prospect asks for, you’ll waste time and money….and you may never build a profitable business. “Starry-eyed” focus on one idea = DANGER. You’ll learn how to post it to your Blog, Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn Social Media accounts. You’ll learn which specific questions to ask to get the best feedback from your prospects. 3. What niche survey questions should you ask your audience? Refer to the other handout provided with this video. 4. What are the key steps of “How To” build a survey? Create your survey using SurveyMonkey.com. Insert Eben’s niche test questions. Get links to your survey from Survey Monkey. Post links to your survey in Facebook. Post links using tinyurl.com to your Twitter account. Post links in your “Questions” panel in Linkedin. Post links on your blog OR ask for comments on your website. Review your results and look for common themes, problems, issues and words that are repeated. 5. Go to SurveyMonkey.com for a demo You can pick a Basic Account or a Pro Account (if you want to collect more than 100 responses or you want to re-direct survey takers to another place). Come to the “Control” Panel and click green button that says “Create a Survey.” Name your survey and “Continue” to the Edit Survey area. Click “Add Question Here” button, and in the “Select Type of Question” drop-down, select “Comment/Essay Box” so visitors can leave responses. Enter the “Question Text” starting with #1 of the seven niche survey questions. Do not “require an answer” from survey takers for any one question. Click “Save Changes” button. Repeat Steps with all seven survey questions. Click “Edit Page” button and insert a new “Page Title” and a “Page Description” about the purpose of the survey (survey- takers will read this). “Preview” survey to make sure everything looks right. 6. To collect the results of your survey, select that “Collect Responses” tab. Under “How Would You Like to Collect Responses” select the radial button. “Create a link to send in your own email message or to place on a webpage.” Name the link and click on “Next Step.” Highlight and copy the newly generated links on the following page for putting in emails or web pages.

7. Post survey to your blog by logging in to your blog management system:

• Select “New Post” and cut and paste the generated link in to the body of the post.

• Place <alt> tags on either side so the link is “live” and can be clicked on directly.

• Insert a message in to the body of the post explaining the survey, along with a call-to-action to take the survey.

• “Preview” the post to make sure it looks ok.

8. Post the survey to Facebook:

• Log in to your account.

• Go to your wall to the “What’s on your mind?” area; this is where you can post the link.

• Create a message to potential survey takers.

• Then go to the “attach” option, scroll to the “link” button and cut and paste the generated survey link.

• This survey link will show up in your and others’ newsfeeds for a wide audience to see.

7. Post the survey to LinkedIn, a site for business people to network:

• You can post the survey in two pages.

• One: on the main page, you can enter in an update in the “Network Activity” area and click “Share” to load your message into the newsfeeds of your network.

• Two: on the top toolbar, click the “More” tab and drop down to select “Answers.”

• On the following page, enter your question and generated survey link in the “Ask a Question” box and hit the “Next” button.

• Categorize your question appropriately.

• If there is a specific geographic area to your survey, then indicate this.

• Leave the other buttons unchecked and click the “Ask a Question” button.

• You have the option to send direct emails to people in your network on the next page. This is optional if there are specific people you’d like to see your survey. This option allows your survey to go into contact’s email inboxes.

• So there are three places to send a survey on Linkedin: newsfeed, ask a question and direct email.

8. Post your survey on Twitter:

• Sign in to your Twitter account.

• Type your message in the “What’s Happening” Box. Make sure your message (i.e. “tweet”) is less than 140 characters. You’ll have to condense your message here to be brief and to the point. 140 characters includes the space for you to paste the link.

• Click the “Tweet” button, and you will see that it shows up in your newsfeed as well as in your followers newsfeed’.

9. How to pull the results from your survey:

• Go to SurveyMonkey.com.

• Click on “My Surveys” and come to the survey you want to analyze.

• Click on the “Analyze Results” tab.

• Click the light blue “Show Replies” link to expand the survey responses.

• Look for themes and patterns in the responses.
