MEETING MINUTESMarch 10, 2020

A regular meeting of the City of Hopkinsville Code of Ordinance Enforcement Board was held Tuesday,

March 10, 2020, at 5:45 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Hopkinsville Municipal Center. Chairman

Rodney Davis presided at the meeting and asked for roll call. Those present were:

seconded by Ms. Wimberly. All committee members present voted aye. The motion passed.

Mr. Bruce moved to issue final orders in the amount of $250.00 plus a $50.00 administrative

fee and to give the property owner 60 days to repair the property. The motion was seconded

by Ms. Wimberly. All committee members presented voted aye. The motion passed.

NOTICE OF HEARING

As outlined in City of Hopkinsville Executive Order 39-2020, pursuant to your request, and asrequired by KRS 65.8828 and Chapter 33.189 of the City of Hopkinsville, Kentucky Code of Ordinances,you are hereby formally notified to appear before the Code of Ordinance Enforcement Board at 715 SouthVirginia Street, Hopkinsville Municipal Center, Council Chambers Room (#148), on the 11TH of AUGUST,2020, at 5:45 p.m. for a public hearing in reference to the citation issued to ALICE NAPIER, by DarnellWest, Code Enforcement Officer, for a violation at 4400 CANTON PIKE of code section(s) 93.03, which ismore particularly as follows: Grass, Trash and Weeds.

The Board will receive evidence at the public hearing and will make such findings of fact andconclusions of law as are supported by the evidence pertaining to the matters alleged in the citation.During the hearing, you will have the opportunity to testify, to present witnesses, and to cross-examine any witnesses who may testify against you. Although it is not required, you may obtain anattorney, at your own expense, to represent you at the hearing.

If you fail to appear at the time and place of the hearing, you shall be deemed to havewaive the right to a hearing to contest the citation, and the determination a violation wascommitted shall be final. In this event, the Code of Ordinance Enforcement Board shall enter a finalorder determining that the violation was committed and may impose a civil fine up to the maximum setforth in the citation.
