CODE OF ORDINANCE ENFORCEMENT BOARDMEETING MINUTES

August 11, 2020

A regular meeting of the City of Hopkinsville Code of Ordinance Enforcement Board was held Tuesday,

August 11, 2020, at 5:45 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Hopkinsville Municipal Center. ChairmanRodney Davis presided at the meeting and asked for roll call. Those present were:

A quorum was declared.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:

Mr. Davis led all members present in the Pledge of Allegiance.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

Mr. Howell moved to approve the minutes of the March 10, 2020 regular meeting. The motion was

seconded by Mr. Spurr. All committee members present voted aye. The motion passed.

Mr. Bruce moved to dismiss the citation based on the evidence presented. The motion was

seconded by Mr. Spurr. All committee members presented voted aye. The motion passed.

Darnell West advised the board that the cases for Andrew C. & Hollie. A. Uthlaut were being

dismissed because they provided proof that they were deployed when the citations were issued. He

stated that Case 2020-04-1799 had requested more time to complete abatement, but that he did

not receive the message before it was posted. He advised that Case 2020-05-1958 had been sold.

Mr. Bruce moved to dismiss the above citations based on the information presented. The motion

was seconded by Mr. Spurr. All committee members present voted aye. The motion passed.

As outhned in City of Hopkinsville Executive Order 39-2020, pursuant to your request, and asrequired by KRS 658828 and Chapter 33.189 of the City of Hopkinsville, Kentucky Code of Ordinances,you are hereby formally notified to appear before the Code of Ordinance Enforcement Board at 715 SouthVirginia Street, Hopkinsville Municipal Center, Council Chambers Room (#148), on the 8 ofSEPTEMBER, 2020, at 5:45 p.m. for a public hearing in reference to the citation issued to JEWELL JMANNING, by Darnell West, Code Enforcement Officer, for a violation at 1114 HOWELL ST of codesection(s) 93.03, which is more particularly as follows: Grass, Trash and Weeds.
