Budi Utomo, Gayuh (Indonesia)
After gaining solid construction experiences, from 2006-2007 he was the person in charge behind “RCTI Home Surgery” and “ANTV School Renovation”; two very popular national television programs. Done with CSR projects, in 2010 he established Imajinasi Rumah/Imaru (Housing Imagination) with works widely publicized by mainstream national printed media (Gramedia, IAAW, B1-Thailand), and international websites (Archdaily, Dezeen, Designboom).
Gayuh Budi Utomo graduated from University of National Development Surabaya in 1999. With 20 years experience in the field, he spent first quarter of his career working on various builders/contractors, and second quarter behind some of the most popular architectural TV programs in Indonesia; before then establishing Gursiji in 2017.

However it was not until 2017 when he realized how he wanted to direct his architecture: away from glamourous design, still very much contemporary, but more down to earth. Hence Gursiji was established with strong design-and-build culture, striving for frontier applicable design experimentations.
