Tower Bridge Buckingham Palace is the largest royal palace, still fulfilling its original function. The

palace was built in 1703 as the residence of the Duke of Buckingham town. Over the next 75 years, it was extended several times, in 1837, to announce the building official residence of the British monarch, which is to this day. For the British palace is the symbol of the United Kingdom.  In the days when the Queen is in the palace, waving over it the only one flag - the banner of the king. This banner until 1997 had never been drained to half-mast as a sign of mourning, even after the death of the monarch. This tradition was changed after the death of Diana, Princess of Wales.  From April to July, every day at 11.30 in front of the palace is a ceremonial changing of the guard (in the remaining months every other day). Currently, some of the palace, including a beautiful garden, is made available to the public. It can be visited in August and September, during the holidays queen.

Big Ben The name originally referred to the bell of St. Stephen Tower (Tower St. Stephens),

also known as The Clock Tower (Clock Tower), belonging to the Palace of Westminster. Currently, Big Ben is both bell and clock tower itself. Was inaugurated on 31 May 1859. Time is the biggest clock in the UK. Tower of London Located on the northern banks of the Thames, surrounded by thick on the walls of

almost four meters in the London Tower, the Palace and Fortress officially Her Majesty, is one of the most popular places in the UK. It is fortified palace and monarchs of England, although the last of the rulers who used it was James I (1566-1625). It was built in 1078 for William the Conqueror. London Eye It is the world's largest observation wheel, created to celebrate the end of the

twentieth century. It is located on the River Thames between Westminster Bridge and Waterloo. This gigantic structure, allowing panoramic views of London from a distance up to 48 km. Wheel has 32 capsules, each of which can accommodate up to 25 people. Thus, in an instant it can carry up to 800 people. The whole turn of the wheel takes about 30 minutes.

Greenwich In situated in East London town, you can enjoy min. Palace of Queen's House - now

owned by the University of Greenwich, National Maritime Museum - the largest maritime museum in the world, Cutty Sark - one of the largest Victorian sailing ships. However, the most famous place is a museum of time consisting of Flamsteed House, the observatory and the famous Meridian Buildings zero degree meridian that defines the time in the world called Greenwich Mean Time.

Muzeum Historii Naturalnej Natural History Museum in London is one of the "great trinity" of museums located

on Exhibition Road in South Kensington. In addition to it it has a more Museum of Science and Victoria and Albert Museum. This, however, is the Museum of Natural History is the most famous and interesting. The Victorian building is more than 70 million objects! Katedra św. Pawła St. Paul's Cathedral. Paul is a landmark on the map of London. Measuring 110

meters high and 220 long temple is situated in the center of the old City of London. Museum, Madame Tussauds is one of London's most popular tourist attractions. Marie Tussaud (Anna Maria really Grosholtz) was born in Strasbourg, France. In 1802 he came to London with the wax casts of the heads of aristocrats guillotined during the French Revolution. Unable to return to France, toured the UK giving his macabre collection. Finally, in 1835, opened a museum on Baker Street. Since then, the show consistently attracts masses of visitors who want to see the wax figures of their favorite celebrities or historical figures.
