The "Bryant" is a classic double monk strap with a slim, elegant shape. It's similar to theSalinger, but made on the more chiseled Rain last. Easily paired with both casual and dresslooks, the double monk will be one the most versatile styles in your footwear wardrobe. It's justas handsome with a suit as it is with denim, and equally appealing with bright socks as it issockless. This particular shoe is crafted in gorgeous Navy Shell Cordovan, which contrastsnicely with the medium brown double leather sole.
SIZINGOur Carmina for Epaulet shoes are produced in regular-width UK sizes. For the majority of ourcustomers, ordering one size down from your true size yields the best fit. For example, you'dlikely be an 8UK in Carmina if you typically wear a 9D US.
For our Alden customers, Carmina sizing approximately works with their lasts as such: Carmina 8UK = Alden Barrie or Trubalance Last 8.5D US = Alden Leydon, Aberdeen, Plaza 9DUS.
Of course, this sizing relativity may be different depending on the particular shape of your footand how you prefer your shoes to fit. But we've found that this equation works well for most ofour customers.
HORWEEN GENUINE SHELL CORDOVANShell Cordovan is a rare and wonderful leather. It comes from the skin of a horse's rump, and isvegetable-tanned for no less than six months. The result is an exceptionally non-porous leatherwith a lustrous finish, unbelievable suppleness, and serious durability. It readily conforms toyour foot, only needs the occasional polishing, and is naturally water-resistant.As you wearShell Cordovan over the course of several years, it develops rich patina and unique character.Genuine shell is expensive, but consider it a good investment. With the proper care, you'll getmany years of wear out of it.
Please note: lighter colors of Shell Cordovan like Saddle, Whiskey, and Ravello have less dyeand allow more of the leather to show through to the top. As such, it's common to see smallblemishes, light scratches, and color variations from one component of the shoe to another.These variations are natural and part of Shell Cordovan's character and are present to somedegree on every piece. As you wear the shoes, they will develop a significantly darker patinawith age, and these variations will be less apparent.

RECRAFTINGAs Carmina shoes are Goodyear welted, they can be easily resoled and recrafted by acompetent cobbler. With this, you can easily get many years of regular wear out of Carmina'squality shoes. Which is important - as you'll surely grow very attached to them.
