The Met is a performing artsorganisation based in animpressive Victorian buildingin Bury, just north ofManchester. We aim topresent a mix ofcontemporary and classictheatre, music and comedysourced regionally and touringnationally and internationally.

As a small scale fringe venue,we are able to present new andexciting artists who invariablygo on to become householdnames or - at the very least -established artists performingto sell out audiences all overthe world. In the past,audiences at The Met haveenjoyed a pre-Partridge SteveCoogan, legendaryperformances by Joy Division,New Order and The Pixies, pre-Elbow Elbow, pre-HollywoodLee Evans and live music andtheatre that leaves peopleinspired and enriched.

With the assistance of ourfunders and sponsors, we areable to maintain affordable
