ERASMUS UNIVERSITY ROTTERDAMSince its establishment 98 years ago, Erasmus University Rotterdam has proven to be a centre of scientifi c knowledge and excellence with international appeal. The university concentrates its expertise on issues of management, organisation, public and private policy, and health care. Altogether, the university has 24.968 ambitious students, of which 13.031 students are enrolled in Business Administration and Economics studies. Erasmus University considers generating knowledge from research, sharing knowledge in education and transferring knowledge to the community as its core tasks. Its driving forces are academic curiosity, critical refl ection and social engagement.

ROTTERDAM SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT (RSM)RSM is the business school of the Erasmus University Rotterdam. The student population of RSM ranges from students at the beginning of their business studies to working professionals who look for new perspectives, skills and ways to meet the challenges in a global business world. Whatever they aim for, RSM has a programme fi tting each student’s unique profi le. The learning environment at RSM is one of a kind: shaped by the values that defi ne the Dutch trading culture it is open, outward-looking and innovative.

RSM’s programmes include a broad Dutch Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BScBA) and a range of English-language programmes including an international BScIBA, thirteen specialised Masters of Science in Business Administration, a combined CEMS-MIM Master, a MPhil, a PhD and three top-ranked MBA programmes. In November 2010 Rotterdam School of Management was ranked 5th at Eduniversal Business School Ranking, among schools such as INSEAD and the London Business School.

STUDY ASSOCIATION ROTTERDAM SCHOOL OF

MANAGEMENT, ERASMUS UNIVERSITY (STAR)STAR (formerly known as Sviib) is the study association of the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. For more than 33 years, STAR has become an association of infl uence, diversity and professionalism. With over 6.500 (inter)national members, of whom 250 are actively involved in committees, STAR is the largest and most professionally-run study association for business administration students in Europe.

STAR MANAGEMENT WEEK

25TH ANNIVERSARYThe STAR Management Week is the highlight of the year at RSM, and one of the largest student events in Europe. This weeklong, nationwide showcase event is considered the annual pinnacle of all STAR events, constituting a valuable interface between students, academics and STAR’s corporate network. This is achieved by a wide array of activities such as an Opening Conference, the internationally renowned Entrepreneurial Seminar, company visits and corporate clinics. Each autumn, over 100 multinationals, 6.000 students and several illustrious guest speakers from around the globe participate in the STAR Management Week. This year’s 25th anniversary edition of the STAR Management Week will be held 26 October – 3 November 2011.

OPENING CONFERENCETo celebrate the 25th edition of the STAR Management Week, the event will start with an Opening Conference. National and international key note speakers will inspire students with their experience and successes, addressing the underlying theme “next level, no limits”. It will touch on creating, exploring and exploiting opportunities in both personal and professional life. By off ering a platform to share and gain experience, the Opening Conference aims to inspire and motivate students on a next level of thinking, without boundaries.

With our years of experience, and considering the impressive past line-up of keynote speakers, the Opening Conference is guaranteed to be an interesting and valuable event for all attendants.

The Opening Conference will be followed by a Grand Opening and a 25th anniversary celebration drink, which off ers great opportunities for networking.

ENTREPRENEURIAL SEMINAR The Entrepreneurial Seminar is a highly-valued part of the Management Week. This seminar will present prominent national and international entrepreneurial speakers who will inspire participants to rethink their thoughts on entrepreneurship. On this exciting day, successful entrepreneurs will share their vision and experience on world-class entrepreneurship in an interactive session.

The Entrepreneurial Seminar is all about dedication, enthusiasm, vision and passionate entrepreneurship. Various inspiring speakers will provide the audience with an interesting and touching seminar.
