Giles Tours have been operating in the province for over 26 years. Now a successful and well-established business we’ve been providing services in both the Coach Tour & Coach Hire industry. Based in the Newtownards area of County Down, we supply comfortable, safe and up to date coach travel in addition to a high level of service which our customers have become accustomed to. Much of our day to day work includes providing transport for school trips, church groups, senior citizens’ groups, airport/ ferry transfers, sporting events, dance groups etc.

Alongside our everyday work we are delighted to provide our selection of coach tours and thank you for taking the time to view our 2018 programme. As usual we have popular and favourite tourist destinations both at home here on the island of Ireland and across the Irish Sea to England, Scotland & Wales.

Our Day Trips continue to be very popular and have been planned and packaged to suit a wide range of budgets and tastes.

Our extended tours vary from 3 to 8 days in a selection of 3 & 4-star hotels. Our ferry transport is once again booked with Stena Line departing from either Belfast’s Victoria Terminal at Westbank Road or Stena Line’s Dublin Port.

You can look forward to comfortable accommodation, hearty breakfasts & menus to satisfy the healthiest of holiday appetites. For those looking for a little extra, many of our chosen hotels offer fitness or leisure facilities and the Warner Hotels featured in our brochure offer day to day activities to entertain you throughout the holiday.

We believe your holiday starts from the moment you board the coach. Once your luggage is loaded at your pick up point, you can sit back and relax in the knowledge that you won’t see it again until you arrive at the hotel. With reserved seating for the duration of your tour, plus our drive on / off ferry policy you are free to make the most of the ship and the on-board facilities. Our journeys are carefully planned to accommodate comfort stops plus sufficient lunch time breaks.

We are all dedicated to providing a friendly, courteous and professional service from the moment you make your first enquiry. We pride ourselves on offering the personal touch, as only a family business can, so if you have any special requirements please discuss them with us at an early stage so we can ensure everything is in place for a care free holiday. Our drivers are totally committed to ensuring you enjoy your holiday and will always be on hand to assist you with any queries. Copies of our Fair Trading Agreement, Hotel Brochures and detailed Itineraries are available on request. (Itineraries are subject to change without notice if thought to be in the best interests of our clients.) All details are correct at time of going to print. However, all tours are planned in advance so there may be times when information supplied is no longer accurate. Giles Tours comply with package tour regulations for the protection of customer repayments. All such monies will be deposited in a secure “Trustee Account” controlled by independent trustees who are professional people accepting the obligation for controlling this account in the interests of our customers.

SEAT ALLOCATIONSeats may be reserved and will be held for 5 working days only, pending receipt of deposit. If a deposit is not received within 5 working days the seats will be released.

DEPOSITS / PAYMENTSA non-refundable deposit of £50.00 per person is required to secure your booking.

Payments may be made by cash, postal order, cheque or card.

Cheques should be made payable to Giles Tours. Card Payment Handling Charges may apply.

TERMSRefunds are only allowed if the tour is cancelled by the tour operator. At all other times deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Changes to names of travelling passengers will be treated as new bookings - charges apply.

Full payment must be received 30 days prior to the departure date otherwise the booking will be treated as cancelled and the seats released.

PICK UP POINTSPlease choose the most convenient pick up point from those listed on the itinerary. These may differ depending on the tour destination. We are unable to veer away from the indicated pick-up points due to the tight time schedules.

LUGGAGEThe amount of luggage is limited to one medium sized suitcase per person.Weight restrictions apply: 15 kgs of luggage per person.

SINGLE ROOMSSingle Rooms are limited and may involve supplements which are set by the hotels. Additional single rooms can only be purchased at the terms set by the hotel.

TOURIST ATTRACTIONSOur prices only include entrance fees to tourist attractions where stated.

INSURANCE:Holiday / Travel Insurance is NOT included in the price of any of our tours.

We STRONGLY ADVISE that you take out adequate travel / holiday insurance to cover all aspects of your holiday.

CANCELLATION CHARGES: 30 days before departure ...........Loss of Deposit Only 29 – 22 days ...................................Loss of 50% of the total holiday cost. 21 – 11 days ...................................Loss of 60% of the total holiday cost. 10 – 0 days ......................................Loss of 100% of the total holiday cost.
