Sonnenschirme und Liegen stehen sowohl am Schwimmbe-cken als auch am dazugehörigen Privatstrand unseren Gästen zur Verfügung.

Ein Arzt steht täglich von Juni bis Ende August von 17.30 h bis 18.30 h im Camping zur Verfügung und in Notfällen der 24 - Stunden Freiwilligennotdienst sowie die Notaufnahme im nahgelegenem Krakenhaus von Jesolo. (In Notfällen setzt sich das Campingpersonal rund um die Uhr für die Gäste ein).

Il medico è presente in campeggio tutti i giorni da giugno a fi ne agosto dalle 17.30 alle 18.30. Per emergenze oltre al ser-vizio dei volontari del soccorso 24h/24h c’è il pronto soccorso dell’ospedale di Jesolo a pochi km. (Il personale del campeggio è a disposizione degli ospiti 24h/24h per eventuali emergenze).

A doctor is available on the campsite every day from June to the end of August from 17.30 to 18.30 as well as a service supplied by fi rst aid volunteers 24/24; there is also an A&E depart-ment just a few kilometres away in Jesolo hospital. (campsite staff are available to help guests 24/24 in the event of emergencies).

Nel “Camping Village Garden Paradiso” mettiamo a disposizione utili e pratici impianti sanitari, come la lavanderia, le stanze per i più piccoli con i fasciatoi, va-sche, docce e WC per i più piccini, stireria, lavello e scarico chimico. Tutti gli impia-nti sono accessibili alle persone con diffi coltà motorie. La nostra fi losofi a ecologica ci conduce ad un’attenta separazione dei rifi uti, per facilitare questo obiettivo troverete a disposizione vari contenitori per rifi uti: residui biologici, secco non riciclabile, vetro, plastica, lattine e carta. Maggiori delucidazioni saranno fornite all’uffi cio informazioni.

SERVICENeben einem beeindruckenden Unterhaltungsprogramm können unsere Gäste hier auf Komfort, Qualität und Sauberkeit zählen. In unserer Anlage bieten wir modernste, wie auch behindertengerechte Sanitäreinrichtungen, Wäscherei, Wickelräume und Babybadewannen, Bügelraum, Geschirrspülbecken und chemische Entsorgung. Auch Mülltrennung wird bei uns ganz groß geschrieben. Auf dem Müllsammelplatz wurde für die Mülltrennung vorgesorgt. Hier kann nach Rest- und Biomüll, Glas, Plastik, Dosen und Papier sortiert werden. The Camping Village site has the most up-to-date washing facilities, such as the launderette, dedicated baby rooms with nappy changing tables, baths, showers and toilets suitable for children, ironing room, sink and chemical toilet emptying facility. All facilities have disabled access. We view waste separation as extremely important and that is why you will see various containers around the site for you to place your leftovers, biolo-gical waste, glass, plastic, tins and paper. Our tourist information offi ce will be happy to tell you where exactly you can fi nd the containers.

SPIAGGIAL´ampia spiaggia è a disposizione di tutti gli ospiti che vogliono vivere momenti di relax, svago e divertimento, nella libertà di uno spazio aperto naturale. Per gli amanti della tranquillità una passeggiata in spiaggia o la lettura di un buon libro, mentre per tutti quelli che vogliono stare in movimento il nostro team di Animazione vi sorprenderà con un ampio programma sportivo. A disposi-zione vi sono campi da Pallavolo, Basket, Bocce e Calcio. Inoltre, troverete anche un parco giochi per i più piccoli e la nave Pirata “Jolly Roger” che si ferma due volte a settimana sulla spiaggia per il divertimento di grandi e piccini. Il vostro benessere da noi ha priorità assoluta, proprio per questo la spiaggia è attrezzata con un bar, sedie sdraio, ombrelloni e dal 2013 natu-ralmente anche docce e WC.

Ob ein gemütlicher Strandspaziergang, oder in aller Ruhe ein Buch genießen, hier fi ndet jeder seinen Platz zum Entspannen. Für all jene, die im Urlaub auf Sport nicht verzichten möch-ten, sorgt das Animationsteam mit einem großen Sportprogramm für viel Bewe-gung. Ein Volleyball- und Basketballfeld kann hier ebenso genutzt werden wie der Boccia- und der Fußballplatz. Unseren kleinsten Gästen steht ein Spielplatz zur Verfügung. Außerdem geht das legendäre Piratenschiff „Jolly Roger“ - zwei Mal in der Woche - direkt am Privatstrand vor Anker und sorgt für abenteuerli-ches Vergnügen bei Jung und Alt. Komfort wird bei uns auf allen Ebenen groß-geschrieben. Der Privatstrand ist mit einer Strandbar, Sonnenschirmen, Liegen und ab 2013 mit Duschen und Toiletten ausgestattet.

BEACHThe extensive private beach is perfect for sun worshippers and sport lovers, it really doesn‘t matter whether you‘re looking to stroll along the beach or sink into a book in peace, here there is a place for everyone. If you prefer to keep moving, then our Animation team will keep you on your toes with a comprehensive sports programme. There are Volleyball and Basketball courts, Bowling greens and a football pitch on site. The younger members of your family can enjoy the play-ground as well as the „Jolly Roger“ pirate ship which anchors twice a week on the private beach, making sure all ages have a great time. The most important thing to us is your well-being and that‘s why our beach has a bar, deck chairs, beach umbrellas and from 2013 of course, showers and toilets.

Wassersport und Wasserspaßfür Anfänger und FortgeschritteneTreffpunkt für alle Wassersportfans ist das „WATER SPORT Center“ am langen, fl ach abfallen-den Privatstrand. In der international anerkannten Segelschule bietet ein bestens ausgebildetes und motiviertes Team Kurse im „Windsurfen und Catamaran-Segeln“ an. Vom Schnupperkurs über Grundkurs bis hin zum Privatkurs führen sie ihre Schüler, mit viel Geduld, Verantwortungs-bewusstsein und den neuesten Materialien ausgerüstet, schrittweise zum gewünschten Erfolg.

Es gibt auch die Möglichkeit Surfbrett und Segel, Catamaran, Kayak, Tretboot und seit neues-tem das SUP (Stand up Paddle – Paddeln im Stehen) stundenweise zu mieten.

Sport e divertimento acquatico per principianti ed espertiUn punto d’incontro per tutti gli amanti dello Sport Acquatico è il “WATER SPORT CENTER” sul-la lunga spiaggia privata. Nella scuola di Vela, riconosciuta a livello internazionale, il nostro Staff preparato e motivato propone corsi di “Windsurf e Catamarano”. Gli allievi saranno condotti al livello di preparazione voluto, grazie all’esperienza, alla pazienza ed al senso di responsabilità offerta dalla preparazione dei nostri insegnanti. Il “Camping Village Garden Paradiso” mette a disposizione dei suoi ospiti l’attrezzatura più evoluta e moderna. Offriamo lezioni di prova gratu-ita e a seguire corsi di gruppo ed individuali.

Vi è inoltre la possibilità di noleggiare tavole da Surf, Vele, Catamarani, Kayak, Pedalò e da poco anche i nuovissimi SUP (Stand Up Paddle).

Meeting place for lovers of Water Sports is the „WATER SPORT CENTER“ on the long private beach. The fully trained and enthusiastic staff of the internationally recognised Sailing School hold Windsurf and Catamaran courses. Students here will achieve the desired level, armed with much patience, a sense of responsibility and having used the most up-to-date equipment. There are trial, group and even private courses.

Mit viel Engagement versuchen wir Einwohner und Gäste für den Umweltschutz zu sensibilisieren, um so für den Erhalt unserer Natur und Umwelt beizutragen.

KINDERANIMATIONEin kunterbuntes Kinderprogramm sorgt im Mini-Klub für Spiel, Spaß und Unter-haltung. Bei lustigen Wasserspielen, aufregenden Schatzsuchen, sportlichen Tur-nieren und Wettbewerben unterhält das Kinderanimations-Team unsere kleinsten Gäste, damit auch sie sich bei uns pudelwohl fühlen. In der „Happy Disco“ können die Kleinsten, mit Tanz und Musik, ihren Tag perfekt ausklingen lassen.

CHILDREN’S ANIMATION PROGRAMMEThe mini-club’s lively animation programme will keep your children entertained with fun and imaginative activities. They can join in with water games, thrilling treasure hunts, sporting tournaments and competitions. The children‘s animation staff look after our smallest guests to make sure that they too can enjoy their holiday in every way. The children fi nish their day with music and dance in the ‚Happy Disco‘.

Bereits im vergangenen Jahr hat unser Animations-Team für viel Unterhaltung und Stim-mung in der Anlage gesorgt. Ein breit gefächertes Animati-onsprogramm wird auch in der Saison 2013 geboten, dass viel Unterhaltung im Urlaub verspricht. Im Rahmen unse-res Unterhaltungsprogramms fi nden wöchentlich die unter-schiedlichsten Wettbewerbe und Turniere statt. Caval-lino-Treporti, bestehend aus den 12 Ortsteilen – Faro Piave Vecchia, Cavallino, Ca’ di Valle, Ca’Ballarin, Ca’Vio, Ca’Pasquali, Ca’ Savio, Punta Sabbioni, Treporti, Saccagnana, Lio Piccolo und Meseole, ist nicht nur als Erholungsparadies, sondern auch wegen seiner guten, traditionellen Küche sehr beliebt. Vor den Toren Cavallinos befi ndet sich direkt am Fluss Sile das Zollhaus, das über Jahrhunderte als Durchfahrtsweg von und nach Venedig dien-te. Heute zeugt nur mehr der in die Steintafel eingemeißelte Zoll-tarif an der Hausfassade. Der Leuchtturm von Cavallino, erbaut im Jahr 1948-1951, steht an der Ufermündung des Flusses Sile, die als Hafeneinfahrt und wichtigster Hauptzugang nach Venedig galt. Am Weg zur militärischen Befestigungsanlage „Forte Vecchio“ in Tre-porti, die zwischen 1845 und 1851 unter österreichischer Herrschaft errichtet wurde, säumen Wehrtürme aus dem Jahr 1915 den Weg. In Treporti präsentiert sich ebenfalls die aus dem 16. Jahrhundert stammende Kirche „Santissima Trinitá, mit ihren zwei charakteris-tischen Kirchtürmen. In Le Mesole kann man Reste eines Klosters aus dem Jahr 1381 und die Kirche der heiligen „Maria del Carmine“ fi nden. Mitten in der Lagune besticht Lio Piccolo mit einem kleinen Hauptplatz, dem „Palazzo Boldu“ aus dem Jahr 1721 und der Kirche „Maria delle Neve“, die im Jahr 1711 auf den Resten einer älteren Kirche erbaut wurde. Diese Vielfalt aus Kultur, Natur, Entspannung, vielen Veranstaltungen und kulinarischen Genüssen vereinen sich hier in Cavallino-Treporti zu einem unvergesslichen Urlaub.

The Customs house, which for centuries has served as a transit point to and from Venice, is at the entrance to Cavallino, right on the Sile river. The customs tariff, carved on a stone slab on the building’s facade, bears witness to its existence. The Lighthouse at Cavallino, built between 1948-1951, is on the banks of the Sile estuary, a highly regarded area due to the importance of its port and because it was the main ac-cess point to Venice. Head towards the military fort „Forte Vecchio“ in Treporti, built between 1845-1851 under the Austrian yolk, and you will come across a number of fortifi ed towers dating from 1915. In Treporti, visit the 16th century church of „Santissima Trinità“, with its two characteristic spires. Meseole is where you can see the remains of a monastery built in 1381 as well as the church of the Saint „Maria del Carmine“. Sulla strada lungo la laguna si trovano numerose torri fortifi cate, sino ad arrivare alla fortezza militare „Forte Vecchio“ a Treporti, eretta negli anni 1845-1851 sotto il dominio austriaco. A Treporti troviamo anche la Chiesa della Santissima Trinità, costruita nel XVI secolo, con le sue due guglie caratteristiche. A Mesole si possono visitare i resti di un monastero costruito nel 1381 e la Chiesa di Santa Maria del Carmine. In mezzo alla laguna, sorge Lio piccolo con la sua piazza principale, il Palazzo Boldu dell’anno 1721 e la chiesa Maria della Neve, costruita nel 1711 sui resti di una chiesa più antica. Una strada stretta permette di vedere la laguna nella sua prospettiva migliore, circondata da fl ora e fauna. Durante i mesi estivi, in questo scenario mozzafi ato, avrete il piacere di ammirare i fenicotteri rosa che si fermano a lungo in questa valle. Le escursioni in bici lungo i fi umi Sile e Piave sono molto affascinanti e ogni viaggio, sia per Jesolo Paese che per Cortellazzo e Caorle, è di per sé un‘esperienza suggestiva ed unica.

Si continua attraversando il primo ponte, girando a destra verso Tre-porti, attraversando il villaggio e girando a destra al ponte successivo in direzione di Saccagnana. Subito dopo il primoincrocio, al ristorante „dal Pupi“, la strada porta direttamente a Lio Piccolo.

Radfahren in Cavallino-TreportiVon der Piazza Santa Maria Elisabetta in Cavallino geht es entlang der Lagune bis Cá Savio. Über die erste Brücke rechts Richtung Treporti, durch den Ort durch und bei der nächsten Brücke rechts weiter Richtung Saccagnana. Gleich bei der erste Abzweigung links, beim Restaurant „dal pupi“, führt die Straße direkt nach Lio Piccolo.

Cross over the fi rst bridge, then turn right towards Treporti, go through the village before turning right at the next bridge in the direction of Saccagnana. Immediately after the fi rst crossroads, by the „dal Pupi“ restaurant, the road leads straight to Lio Piccolo.

Festa dell´UvaDie Traubenlese wird mit dem Wein-traubenfest in Cavallino ganz groß gefeiert. Inizia al tramonto a Cavallino-Treporti, porta lungo la laguna e termina nel cuore di Jesolo Lido. Maratoneti e spettatori sono accolti da una grande atmosfera di festa al traguardo.

Durante le regate di canottaggio „Palio Remiero“ non contano soltan-to le prestazioni sportive, ma è data molta importanza alla tradizione e agli incontri sociali. Durante tutta la stagio-ne, gli equipaggi delle 12 contrade di Cavallino Treporti (Faro Piave Vec-chia, Cavallino, Ca’ di Valle, Ca‘ Balla-rin, Ca’ Vio, Ca‘ Pasquali, Ca’ Savio, Punta Sabbioni Treporti Saccagnana, Lio Piccolo e Mesole) si sfi dano nelle gare con barche veneziane tradizionali a remi, veloci e molto colorate. Ogni barca, infatti, è dipinta con il colore della contrada che rappresenta ed è facilmente riconoscibile dalla terrafer-ma dagli spettatori. Ogni evento è se-guito da una cerimonia di premiazione con musica e delizie culinarie.

Questo Palio ricorda il periodo in cui i colti-vatori di frutta e verdura delle piccole isole attorno a Venezia, dovevano trasportare il loro raccolto sul mercato della città la-gunare con le barche a remi. Tutto questo doveva avvenire il più presto possibile, perché i coltivatori che arrivavano per pri-mi al mercato del ponte di Rialto avevano le migliori possibilità di vendere il maggior numero della loro frutta e verdura.

Neben sportlicher Höchstleistung steht bei den Ruderregatten „Palio Remiero“ in Cavallino-Treporti, Tra-dition und geselliges Beisammensein im Mittelpunkt. Die ganze Saison hin-durch treten die Mannschaften der 12 Ortsteile von Cavallino-Treporti - Faro Piave Vecchia, Cavallino, Ca’ di Valle, Ca’ Ballarin, Ca’ Vio, Ca’ Pasquali, Ca’ Savio, Punta Sabbioni, Treporti, Sac-cagnana, Lio Piccolo und Meseole - in den typisch venezianischen Ruder-booten gegeneinander an. Diese Boo-te sind nicht nur sehr schnell, sondern auch sehr bunt. Jedes Boot ist mit der Farbe der jeweiligen Gemeinde be-malt und damit für die Zuseher vom Festland aus leicht erkennbar. Jeder Bewerb fi ndet mit einer anschließen-den Preisverleihung, Musik und kuli-narischen Köstlichkeiten einen gelun-genen Abschluss.

Der traditionelle Hintergrund dieser Veranstaltungen rührt aus der Zeit, als die Obst- und Gemüsebauern von den vielen kleinen Inseln um Venedig, ihre Ernte mit den Ruderbooten auf dem Markt in die Lagunenstadt transportieren mussten. Die Bauern, die mit ihren Ruderbooten am schnellsten bei der Rialtobrücke eintrafen, hatten die besten Chancen viel von ihrem Obst und Gemüse zu verkaufen. Und vor allem musste das Verkaufte nicht wieder retour transportiert werden.

Sporting prowess is not the only thing that matters during the canoeing re-gatta, the Palio Remiero, in Cavallino-Treporti - much weight is given to tra-dition and socialising. Throughout the season, the crews of the 12 contrade of Cavallino Treporti - Faro Piave Vec-chia, Cavallino, Ca ‚di Valle, Ca‘ Balla-rin, Ca ‚Vio, Ca‘ Pasquali, Ca ‚Savio, Punta Sabbioni Treporti Saccagnana, Lio Piccolo and Mesole – challenge each other in contests in traditional Venetian rowing boats. These boats are not just fast, but also brightly co-loured. Each boat is painted in the co-lours of the contrada it represents, so for the watchers on dry land, it is easily recognised. Each event is followed by an awards ceremony with music and marvellous food.

The historical background to this event dates back to the time when fruit and vegetable growers from the little islands around Venice had to transport their har-vest to the city‘s market in rowing boats. This had to be done as early as possible because those growers who were fi rst on the Rialto Bridge (market area) had the best chance of selling the largest amount of their fruit and vegetables. That way, they could avoid having to take their goods back again.

Per i suoi numerosi canali è anche affettuo-samente chiamata la „Città delle Acque“. Il fi ume Botteniga, infatti, attraversa il centro storico rendendo-lo molto suggestivo e poi confl uisce nel Sile. Treviso è una città ricca di storia, arte e cultura. Il punto di partenza per visitarla è la Piazza dei Signori: qui si possono ammirare alcuni degli edifi ci più importanti della città, come la Torre Civica, il Palazzo della Prefettura e il Palazzo dei Trecento (Municipio), costruito nel 1207, al cui interno sono presenti numerosi affreschi. Nella Cattedrale di Piazza Duomo, costruita nel XII Secolo, si trovano una romantica cripta, affreschi e dipinti del pittore veneziano Tiziano. Continuando la passeggiata per il centro storico, si possono scoprire altre chiese e monasteri: tra questi spiccano la Chiesa di San Nicolò, la Chiesa di San Francesco, il Museo di Santa Caterina e Casa dei Carraresi, che ogni anno ospita mostre ed esposi-zioni di rilievo internazionale. PadovaLa città universitaria di Padova si trova a circa 80 chilometri dal Cavallino ed è tra le città più an-tiche d‘Italia, nota nel mondo per i suoi magnifi ci edifi ci. Uno di questi è la Basilica di S. Antonio, la più importante chiesa della città e una delle più grandi e visitate al mondo. Costruita in onore di Sant‘Antonio, i cui resti sono stati sepolti all’interno nel 1232, venne ultimata nel 1310, ma modifi che all’assetto della Basilica si prolungarono fi no al XV secolo. Gli affreschi all‘interno della cattedrale affascinano con scene illustranti la storia della creazione, la crocifi ssione, la resurrezione di Cristo e il Giudizio Universale. La chiesa degli Eremitani, edifi cata nel 1276 in onore dei santi Filippo e Giacomo, si trova a fi anco dell‘antico convento degli Eremitani, ora sede dei Musei Civici di Padova: qui sono conservate una vasta raccolta archeologica e opere di grandi artisti, come il Mantenga, Ansuino da Forlì e Guariento. Prato della Valle è la più grande piazza della città di Padova e una delle più grandi d‘Italia e d‘Europa con una superfi cie di 88620 mq. La Casa di Giulietta risale al XII Secolo ed è rimasta conservata nel suo stato originale fi no ad oggi: i visitatori potranno ammirare gli innu-

Jahr-hundert und ist heute noch in seinem Originalzustand erhalten. Tausende Menschen pilgern zu diesem Haus, kleben unzählige Liebeswünsche an dessen Wände und berühren die Bronze Statue von Julia, die sich im romantischen Innenhof befi n-det. Venice, once a major fi nancial and naval power in the Mediterranean, has become over the last few years one of the greatest destinations for tourists, attracting them from all over the world. In 1987, it was awarded UNESCO World Heritage Site status and continues to fascinate with its stunning buildings, bridges, canals, arts and culture. In Piazza San Marco, considered the heart of Venice, are the Palazzo Ducale, the Basilica, the Campanile and the Correr Museum. Set against these imposing buildings, under the porticos near Piazza San Marco are a whole host of stylish shops and bars. Caffè Florian, which opened its doors in 1720 and is believed to be the oldest coffee shop in Europe, occupies a special place here. Of course there is the Grand Canal, crossing the centre of Venice in its entirety, acting as the main artery for the passage of gondolas, water taxis and cargo boats. The islands, both large and small, around Venice are always portrayed as full of mystery. Some of them are extremely well known, others less so. The island of Murano has become well-known worldwide for its produc-tion of artistic glasswoek and the is-land of Burano for the manufacture of exquisite Venetian lace. Islands such as St Erasmus are on the other hand less recognised; also known as the Garden of Venice, or the island of San Francesco, with monastery and peaceful cypress grove attached which can only be reached by boat, hired or your own. Yet all the islands will captivate you and must be seen.

VENEZIAEventiREGATA STORICALo storico festival delle gondole offre tanta vivacità a partecipanti e visitatori. Colori, barche storiche decorate e magnifi ci costumi trasformano il Canal Grande in un fantastico scenario. Ogni anno, la prima domenica di settembre, centinaia di barche storiche attraversano il Canale. Questa festa vu-ole ricordare il glorioso passato di una delle più ricche repubbliche marinare del Mediterraneo.

VOGALONGALa Vogalonga attira rematori da tutta l’Italia e dall’estero. È nata nel 1974 come forma di pro-testa contro le barche a motore che viaggiavano lungo i canali di Venezia a velocità eccessiva, creando onde di prua molto forti e causando gravi danni alle case. Oggi non è più solo un atto di pro-testa, ma anche una vera e propria sfi da sportiva. Tutti i partecipanti aspettano la partenza davanti a piazza San Marco, per poi passare davanti alle isole di Venezia, attraversare il Canal Grande e ri-tornare di nuovo in Piazza San Marco. Durante la regata a remi, la laguna è inaccessibile al transito.

FESTA DEL REDENTORETutta Venezia celebra la liberazione della peste nell’anno 1576 con una festa estiva travolgente, che ha luogo il terzo Sabato / Domenica di luglio. Migliaia di barche addobbate con luci e ghirlande ormeggiano intorno alla Chiesa del Redentore, festeggiando con buona musica e delizie culina-rie. Unico è il ponte che attraversa il Canale della Giudecca, costruito solo per quest’occasione da tante piccole barche. Grande è la festa anche sulle rive; festa che si conclude a mezzanotte con uno spettacolo di fuochi d’artifi cio unico al mondo.

FESTA DELLA SENSASeguendo la tradizione, la domenica dopo il gi-orno dell‘Ascensione, a Venezia, si celebra la processione di barche tradizionali con la „Festa della Sensa“. Essa commemora due eventi im-portanti per la vecchia Repubblica veneziana: il 9 maggio dell‘anno 1000 quando il doge Pietro II Orseolo soccorse le popolazioni della Dalma-zia minacciate dagli Slavi. La data segnò l‘inizio dell‘espansione veneta nell‘Adriatico. Il secondo evento è collegato all‘anno 1177, quando, sotto il doge Sebastiano Ziani, Papa Alessandro III e l‘imperatore Federico Barbarossa stipularono a Venezia il trattato di pace che pose fi ne alla dia-triba secolare tra Papato e Impero. In occasione di questa festa si svolgeva e si svolge ancor’oggi il rito dello Sposalizio del Mare, durante il quale un anello viene gettato in mare.

VOGALONGAFreizeitruderer aus dem In- und Ausland folgen dem Ruf der „Vogalonga“/“Lange Welle“. 1974 wurde diese Protestkundgebung gegen zu schnell fahrende Motorboote ins Leben gerufen, die auf Grund überhöhter Geschwindigkeit und den dabei entstehenden Bugwellen, gravierende Schäden an den Wohnhäusern, in den Kanälen von Ve-nedig, anrichten. Heute gilt sie aber nicht nur als Protestkundgebung, sondern auch als sportliche Herausforderung. Vor dem Markusplatz warten alle Teilnehmer auf den Startschuss, paddeln vorbei an der Inselwelt Venedigs, durch den Canal Grande und zurück zum Ausgangspunkt. Während der Ru-der-Regatta wird die Lagune für die Motorschifffahrt gesperrt und Venedig kann durchatmen.

FESTA DEL REDENTOREMit einem überwältigenden Sommerfest feiert ganz Venedig am dritten Samstag/Sonntag im Juli die Befreiung von der Pest im Jahr 1576. Tausende mit Lichterketten und Girlanden geschmückte Boote formieren sich um die Kirche „Il Redentore/Der Erlöser“ und feiern bei guter Musik und kulinari-schen Köstlichkeiten. Einzigartig ist an diesem Tag die Brück über den Kanal Giudecca, die aus vielen kleinen Booten gebaut wird. Auch am Ufer herrscht reges Treiben, wo bei mitgebrachten, traditionellen Speisen und Musik ausgelassen gefeiert wird. Am Samstag um Mitternacht fi ndet dieses Fest mit ei-nem grandiosen Feuerwerk seinen Höhepunkt.

FESTA DELLA SENSAAm Sonntag nach Christi Himmelfahrt wird tradi-tionell die Schiffsprozession „Festa della Sensa“ gefeiert. Dieses Fest erinnert zum einen an den Sieg des Dogen Pietro Orseolo über die dalma-tinischen Piraten im Jahr 1000 und zum anderen an den Frieden von Venedig, der im Jahr 1177 geschlossen wurde. Friedrich Barbarossa, Papst Alexander III und der Doge Sebastiano Ziani be-siegelten diesen Vertrag. Zum Zeichen der Ver-bundenheit zwischen Stadt und Meer wird bei diesem Fest ein Ring ins Meer geworfen.

This festival ensures that the glorious past of one of the richest marine republics in the Mediterrane-an is never forgotten.

VOGALONGAThe Vogalonga attracts rowers from all over Italy and abroad. It began in 1974 as a form of protest against the motor boats which were travelling above the speed limit, creating extremely strong waves at the bow and causing serious damage to the houses within the canal area. These days, the Vogalonga is not considered solely as an act of protest, but also as a sporting challenge. All com-petitors wait for the signal to go in front of Piazza San Marco, then it‘s on to the Venetian islands, across the Grand Canal and back again to the be-ginning. While the rowing regatta is in progress, the lagoon cannot be used as a crossing, and Ve-nice enjoys a little peace and quiet.

FEAST OF THE REDEEMERThe whole of Venice celebrates deliverance from the plague of 1576 with a moving summer festival, which takes place on the third weekend of July. Thousands of boats decorated with lights and garlands line up around the church of the ‘Rede-emer’, where great music and foodie treats add that bit extra Something that stands out on this occasion is the bridge which spans the Giudecca Canal, comprised of numerous little boats. The ri-verbank too is a hive of intense activity, with the celebrations accompanied by traditional dishes and music. Midnight on Saturday, the festival will draw to an end with a marvellous fi reworks display.

This festival is in memo-ry of the victory of Doge Pietro Orseolo over Pirates from Dalmatia in 1000, as as well as the Venice peace agreement, signed and sealed in 1177 by Federico Barbarossa, Pope Alessandro III and the Doge Sebastiano Ziani. During the celebration, a ring is tossed into the sea to symbolise the solidarity between city and sea.
