Discover Lemesos CityThe old town of Lemesos (Limassol) is
the
heart of the city with its narrow streets
radiating out from the old fishing harbour.
The medieval Lemesos castle was the site of
a royal wedding in the Middle Ages between
Richard the Lionheart, King of England, and
Berengaria of Navarre, and now houses the
Cyprus Medieval Museum.
The old town centre, just 12min drive from
Theos Garden, has been recently restored,offering the best of
past and present times.
You can now walk around, shop and dine in
the city centre, all while enjoying the historical
heritage of the city.
The town has grown in recent years and now
covers 15 kms of coastline lined with hotels,
cafs and restaurants, interspersed with
eucalyptus groves and linked by a
promenade popular with walkers, joggers
and cyclists.
