SUBJECT: Instructions for the Interpretation of the Heavy Truck Broadcast Form #8502-HT
Preliminary
This form is basically designed to read down and across. (Notice A-8-C-D-E-F-G-H-1-J-K-down, and the numbers, 1-2-3, etc., across.) Each line is identified by a number.
The form is also designed, as nearly as possible to have all body· shop,' trim line, frame line and engine line information together. For example, notice the following lines:
1) "A" for body shop 2) "B" & "C" for trim 3) "D" & "E" for the frame line 4) "F" & "G" for the engine iine 5) "H" & "I" for rear brakes, rear hubs, fuel
tanks and wiring 6) "J" & "K" for driveline and plant lab shafts
Explanation - By Coordinates
Each coordinate block will either have a code number, an "X" or an"'" in that block if the item applies to the unit. Specific codes·for each column are outlined below as to their meaning and what will appear in each block. If the option or part applying to a specific order is a DSO application, an ' will appear in the bottom portion of the broadcast form cross-referenced to that block. A dash (-) in a coordinate block is the same as a blank.
1) A 1 (Rotation Number) This is the numerical sequence of the unit

through the Production System. All units will L Series (Continued) be in numerical sequence numbered 1 through Code Model Engine Type 9999. There will be three alpha suffixes which VB0-81 LT8800 Gas LS-104-H will indicate which of the three final lines that YB0-81 LT88000 Diesel each unit is to be built on. The three final lines V90-91 LT8900 Gas consist of the following series: Y90-91 LTS9000 Diesel Line "A" - F&8 6-700 and all parcels Line "L" - L Series & All C (tilt cab} series A90 LT89000 Diesel Line "W" - W Series
