Job Description Job title Reporting Analyst Team Business Intelligence Band Analyst Reporting to Senior Manager, Business Intelligence Management responsibility None Purpose of the job The Reporting Analyst will be part of the Business Intelligence Team assisting with the handling, monitoring and reporting of management information in relation to the British Business Bank funding programmes under management. Main duties The key aspects of the role will involve: First line responsibility for the handling and appraisal of reporting information received from fund managers/delivery partners. Accurate transfer of reporting information into management information systems and tools. Preparation of analysis, ad hoc reporting information and written reports to Senior Management Team/Board, internal colleagues and stakeholders generally. Acting as key liaison contact with external fund manager/delivery partner contacts with regards to reporting information. Knowledge and experience Experience of data handling, interpretation and input - Essential Experience of producing accurate data analysis and reports for internal/external stakeholders - Essential Experience of utilising management information systems, especially Microsoft Access databases – Essential Experience of using OLAP-based Business Intelligence tools – Highly Desirable Experience of working in a commercial, SME-finance or fund/banking environment - Desirable Experience of monitoring loan funds - Desirable Internal and external stakeholders The post holder will be required to build and maintain strong relationships with internal colleagues, external fund managers/delivery partners and stakeholders generally. Management responsibility if appropriate No direct management responsibility, but will work effectively as part of a team working to Senior Managers and a Director in the Business Intelligence Team. Key competencies/behaviours Excellent attention to detail Excellent data handling and numeracy skills Sound analytical skills, problem solving, interpretation and judgement Ability to develop into a subject matter expert and apply such knowledge to a role Highly developed organisational and communication skills Commitment to team working and providing support to team members Microsoft Excel (intermediate or above) Microsoft Access (intermediate or above) Qualifications Required for the role Additional / desirable Is this a regulated role?
