The reason we have created this module is because we are sensitive to the needs of all students, not just to the students that attend a regular school and learn in a traditional setting. Students might have to miss extended amount of school for various reasons. We want to provide them with a unit they can do on their own with no time constraints as far as due dates. We also see the importance of students having multiple classes available to them, not just their core subject areas. Our month long digital photography can be considered an art class or industrial technology class. We want to make sure the student can experience as much of school as possible and not just the core subjects.

students are often assessed differently than students in

the regular educational setting, Industrial Assistance uses the same assessment for all students.PRO-Gives student connection to day-to-day activities-All students are assessed equally-Built in within and around the regular lesson

(Standards)

-Smooth transition when they come back

CON-Possibility of missing in class discussion item-Must fit with certain students’ IEP-H/H Bound students’ assessment doesn’t take

time as a factor (No real due dates)
