Consolacion Police Station has gradually recovered peace and order in thearea. Problems on criminalities may be attributed to the rampant abuse of illegal drugs and illegal gambling. However, it is worthy to say that at present, the police-community united efforts have claimed success on peaceand order and public safety.

It indeed served the purpose, the residents are now very vigilant and prompt to act on incidents involving or affecting their safety, unless they need policeassistance. Barangay tanods in their respective area are very organized. This was however the product of massive education campaign and in closecoordination with local chief executive, municipal and barangay officials.

Consolacion is one of the most accessible ways of exit from Cebu and M andaueCity. Some criminals hide this town because some of its barangays are located

in remote places. The police to population ratio is 1 to 3,612.R

esidents of pier area from adjacent cities made this town a relocation site wherein most of them are unemployed and no other way of living except to commit a crime inorder to survive. Despite the rigid efforts of the policemen, some problems areencountered such as lack of police personnel and lack of police vehicle to beused during night and beat patrol in order to minimize the occurrence of crimes. However, despite of these constraints, the peace and order situation of thismunicipality is manageable.
