Dr. Belykh is the author of more then 250 publications (articles,
monographs, teaching materials) including textbooks on business law,
banking law; stock exchange law, insurance law, tax law, contract law of
England and US, on bankruptcy. Dr. Belykh is the recipient of the
prestigious badge “Honorable Advocate of Russia” and “Honorary Figure
of Russian Higher Professional Education” in 2006.
Dr. Belykh is the Chief Editor and the Chairman of Editors Board of
Russian Law Journal; Director of Institute of Law and Entrepreneurship, Ural
State Law University, Yekaterinburg, Russia since 2001; Professor, Head of the
Entrepreneurial Law Department, Ural State Law University, Yekaterinburg,
Russia since 1995; Member of Research and Consultancy Council in the
Supreme Court of the Russian Federation; and Arbitrator of the International
Commercial Arbitration Court under the Chamber of Commerce and Industry
of the Russian Federation.

GIAN (An Initiative of Government of India)
Govt. of India approved a new program titled Global
Initiative of Academic Networks (GIAN) in Higher Education
aimed at tapping the talent pool of scientists and entrepreneurs,
internationally to encourage their engagement with the
institutes of Higher Education in India so as to augment the
country’s existing academic resources, accelerate the pace of
quality reform, and elevate India’s scientific and technological
capacity to global excellence.
GIAN is envisaged to achieve the following objectives:
a) Provide opportunity to our faculty to learn and share
knowledge and teaching skills in cutting edge areas;
b) To provide opportunity to our students to seek knowledge
and experience from reputed International faculty;
c) To create avenue for possible collaborative research with
the international faculty;
d) To increase participation and presence of international
students in the academic Institutes;
e) Opportunity for the students of different Institutes/
Universities to interact and learn subjects in niche areas
through collaborative learning process; and
f) To provide opportunity for the technical persons from
Indian Industry to improve understandings and update their
knowledge in relevant areas.
About the course
International Commercial Law reflects international
business in its diversity, innovation, and contemporary relevance.
“International Commercial Law is a body of legal rules,
conventions, treaties, domestic legislation and commercial
customs or usages that governs international commercial or
business transactional sale transactions”. The past few decades
have seen enormous growth in international commerce,
increasing the importance and prominence of international
commercial law. This area of law provides a basis for international
business transactions and the development of international
markets. In this context the present course combines a thorough
grounding in technical legal instruments of international
commercial law, with sophisticated training in interdisciplinary
frameworks for analysis of global business regulation, as well as
reflective evaluation of the operation and effectiveness of law.
Dates In between 10th October 2016 and 24th October 2016.

Objectives 1. To help students to identify the issues in
international commercial law;
2. To provide a basic foundation in the
mechanics of international commercial law;
3. To provide exposure to practical problems
and their solutions, through case studies in
international commercial law; and4. To enhance the capability of the participants
to identify the issues and to suggest
solutions in international commercial law.
Who can attend Students at all levels (LL.B.; LL.M., M. Phil, Ph.D) or
Faculty from reputed academic institutions.
Course Format Lectures, Discussions, Tutorials and Examination
Contents:
Day 1: The concept of commercial law of foreign countries
(2 hrs.)
Relations regulated by commercial law, The system
of the course “Commercial law of foreign countries”.
Day 2: The sources of commercial law of foreign
countries (2 hrs.)
The sources of commercial law of civil-law
countries, The sources of commercial law of
common- law count r i e s , The sources of
commercial law in Russia.
Day 3 & 4: The legal status of entrepreneurs (Company Law)
(4hrs.)
The concept and specific features of an
entrepreneur (businessman), Individual form of
entrepreneurship (business), Collective form of
entrepreneurship (business), Legal status of banks,
Legal status of insurance companies, Legal status of
stock exchange.
Day 5 & 6: Insolvency (bankruptcy) (4 hrs.)
The concept, criteria and specific features of
insolvency, The sources of legal regulation of
in solvency, The subjects of insolvency, Insolvency
proceedings, Procedures of insolvency.
Day 7, 8 & 9:Commercial contract (6 hrs.)
The concept of contract in the sphere of business
(entrepreneurship), Sale contract, Hire contract,
Contract of independent contractor work, Finance
lease contract, Agency agreement, Contract of
carriage, Insurance contract.
Day 10: Protection of businessmen’s rights (2 hrs.)
Forms and ways of protecting the businessmen’s
rights, Dispute resolution in the sphere of business
(entrepreneurship).

How to Reach Jodhpur: Jodhpur is well connected by Air, Road and Rail
with all the major cities and railway stations in India. It
is about 579 kms from New Delhi. It has direct flights
from New Delhi (1.5 hrs), and Mumbai (2 hrs).The Institute is prominently located on NH 65 and
is 30 minutes away from the Airport. It is 12 kms away
from the main Railway Station and around 10 km
away from the Bus Stand. You easily find taxis and
autos 24 hrs.
Local Accommodation: Accommodations also available at the Institute
Convention Center on first come first serve basis.
University charges are applicable. There are many
good fair price-lodging facilities available nearby the
campus.
Places to Visit: Jodhpur is famously called the Sun City, as the sun is
visible here first every morning. If you are passionate
about things of the past, you will love the city that is
rich in palaces, forts and museums. The main
attractions include Mehrangarh Fort, Jaswant Thada,
Balsamand Lake, Kailana Lake, Rao Jodha Desert Rock
Park, Umaid Palace, Mandore Gardens, Clock Tower,
Maha Mandir and so on. The city is also famous for its
sweets. You could indulge yourself in a great
purchasing spree as the city offers unique handicrafts,
antiques, miniature elephants, silver jewelry, bandhani
textiles and many more.
