I’ve had the opportunity to work with Sciant for three years now –initially as senior VP of Engineering for Tumbleweed Communications and recently from my new company Westbridge Technology.

StP is a multiplatform, multi-user visual modeling tools and transformation engine targeted at designing enterprise level software using notations such as UML.

The development services provided by Sciant are mainly done for HP, Sun Solaris and Windows 2000 systems using C/C++, MFC and the Sybase RDBMS. Please fin following a reference for Sciant detailing our working together relationship and the resultant success together. Sciant have played a key part in our software development strategy for Pi Research since 2001. They have been providing design, implementation, quality assurance and maintenance services for a number of Pi Research core products.

The services performed by Sciant up to date include involvement in: • Design and development of:

• Real-time telemetry data analysis including display of the information in various formats• Wind tunnel instrumentation systems work• ECU configuration tools• Configuration of custom racing hardware.

• Some of these projects required us to work very closely together due to the coupling of the work involved.• As and when required /and without hesitation/ on-site integration of Sciant-work. • On site work at the instigation of the projects /on a as and when required basis/.• Development and maintenance of several of our product lines.

In providing these services Sciant demonstrated knowledge in the appropriate technologies involved/or the capability to quickly learn and use of the technologies/-including Windows programming, COM,C++. interfacing with custom devices. Sciant have had to pick up our development process and development environment, which have varied from fairly simple to quite complex. We also worked together to try and create as seamless as possible single development system - e.g. development tools, tracking systems etc. As part of this development process they have the need to understand complete system designs and indeed work with custom hardware solutions to prove and test their solutions.

Additionally, Sciant demonstrated the ability to adapt and be capable of handling often steep learning curves and then training other as a matter of course. This is in terms of adopting custom technologies, including specific hardware, as well as in the expected software development and project management processes and methodology with the aim of providing Pi Research with its expected high level of quality engineering –which is expected both internationally as well as externally.

Our experience so far with Sciant have been good / a few issues en-route which have been satisfactory resolved/ and subject to this continuing we will continue to expand our work with them.
