Dementia Care Classes
This is a class for family members caring for a loved one with
Alzheimer’s disease or related dementia. The class meets for
six-weeks for two hours each week. The focus is on improv-
ing the practice of caregiving. There is a thorough overview of
Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia as well as the emo-
tions the caregiver may face, a tool for decision making, and
how to deal effectively with family issues. You will learn
about the stages and how to use that to help your loved one
stay “in the zone”.
Wednesdays, October 3 - November 7
5:30 - 7:30 pm
3225 Hospital Drive
First Floor Conference Room
Classes are free but pre-registration is required as space is
limited.

October 4th is World Animal Day!
The Bridge has the opportunity to visit with sweet,
friendly dogs once a month from our local animal
shelter.
Look at this smiling sharpei from one of our visits
with the Gastineau Humane Society! What a cutie!
We play physical activity tossing
games daily at The Bridge.
In this photo Darleen lands all four
darts in the bullseye zone! Way to go,
Darleen!
