An animation to convey some of the most important aspects of life.

Sebastian Baptista and Climent Canal (Sebas & Clim).

    January 31, 2012

First of all it is very simple, very minimized. It may contain very few elements for the design, but it explains well that can beeasily understood with the story it is telling.

    Overview: Information

    What is it?

    Who made it?

    When?

    Why do I love it?

Answer the questions in your own words

Form: Execution Decode the style of your piece

The background does not change, only its color does. As the color change, the scene changes. The stage seems to look like a billiard table/pool table. Asthe ball moves, it looks more like it. The space around the elements (circles andlines) is large that what the animator is trying to say tell and show us easily; eye-catching. I can see the different use of space, which might mean that it is t ryingto tell a different story. What shapes (circle, line) do explains words(type) very well.

The mood of this animation is quiet and slow so the music is also quiet. As theline or the dotted line or the circular shape moves the sound follows it. I think itis a sound of a xylophone when two circle touches each other. The sound of aguitar, at the he rst half of the animation the it sounds to be recorded and theother half sounds normal. The sound makes the mood of the animation more

simple and minimized as design does.

The animation is slow. A circle and lines moves slow.Shadows can be seen from the circle and lines. Even though the backrounddoes not change ( even though the camera does not move), except for thecolor; because of the shadow, it looks that the time is running. I think it wouldmake a big difference without the shadow.

    What does it look like?

    What does it sound like?

    What does it move like?

    Imagery

    Typography

    Animation

Give 3 examples of how form and content are related

There is not much of a typography, just one word for each scene. But because of the use of space makes the word look powerful and eye-catching.

The use of space makes not only the words powerful but also the element thatwere used. I think the space works as the most important part for this piece.

It is using only the white cirular shape and a white line. With these two it explainsthe words very well. The change of background color changes the ow of eachscene.

Could be typography, camera work, imagery, edit, animation, color palette, sound, anything!
