We have always been in the front of the Brangus breed in terms of our traditional EPD values. With the new EPD values and Indexes for Heifer Pregnancy, Stayability, Terminal Index, and Fertility Index it is apparent our structured and defined breeding program confirms our faith in our selection for these most economically important traits. Our heifers will breed up at higher rates, stay in the herd longer, feed better with more profit, and overall maintain the highest levels of fertility in the Brangus breed.

Genetics and Genomics, better get your herd ready for the future because all of our seedstock programs will be valued according to strengths or weaknesses as defined by genomic inputs.

Zero ToleranceThe information in this catalog is completely objective, yes or no, is or is not, can or can’t. However, our routine behind the scenes are those items that make a great cow herd. We place zero tolerance on fertility and breed up, phenotype, udder quality, hoof and leg soundness, docility, and foraging value. Our bulls are designed to sire cattle that will perform, feed, hang upside down with a value-added carcass, and create a super set of replacement heifers.

Bull DevelopmentNow in our third year, we started a hand fed silage based bull feeding program so we can accurately understand what and how much our bulls are eating during gain test period. This ration is composed of 50% silage, 10% cotton burrs, and 40% premix composed of a protein pellet balancer, cracked corn, and DDGs. The bulls are gain tested in half mile long ten to fifteen acre pastures. We realize we sacrifice some weight gains and ultrasound measures, however the bulls are sounder moving, better footed, bigger bellied, and more ready to survive in their new real world environment. They are more suited to go stronger and last longer. Even though we have changed the diet in our bull development program this set of bulls still gained 3.24 lbs. per day and ended up with a yearling weight per day of age at 3.29 lbs!

Our good friend Wade Fisher, Ideal Productions, has professionally taken video of our sale offering. The Ideal Productions video will be broadcast real time by DV Auctions and those who cannot attend the sale will have the capabilities of bidding on cattle throughout the day.

However, this year our sale bulls and females will remain in their display pens during our sale and will be auctioned off with use of video only. 1. BIDDING: Each animal will be sold to the highest bidder. The auctioneer in charge will settle any disputes as to bids, andhisdecisionshallbefinal.

2. TERMS: All terms are cash or check. Settlement must be made to the clerk at the conclusion of the auction.

3. PURCHASER’S RISK: Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold, but will not be delivered until settlement has been made.

4. CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRY: Whenfullsettlementhasbeenmade,acertificateofregistrationwillbefurnishedandtransferred to the purchaser on those lots that are registered. Give full name and address to the clerk when making payment sotheCertificateofRegistrywillbetransferredproperly.

5. HEALTH: All animals where possession is sold are eligible for interstate shipment except as otherwise noted. The cattle have been tested for Tuberculosis and Bangs disease within thirty (30) days of the sale date or come from a Brucellosis CertifiedFreeHerdorcomefromaBrucelosisCertifiedFreeHerdororiginatefromaCertifiedTuberculosisorBangsfreestate..Ahealthcertificatewillbefurnished.

6. ANNOUNCEMENTS: Announcements from the auction box will take precedence over the printed matter in this catalog. All cattle will be sold by lot numbers as announced by the auctioneer.

7. BREEDING GUARANTEE: (A) All animals are guaranteed to be breeders with the exception of (1) injury or disease occurring after sale; (2) negligence or willful misconduct on the part of the purchaser. (B) Any bull which either (1) produces viable semen; (2) settles 1/3 or more of the healthy cows he serves; (3) is the sire of 20 or more animals or; (4) settles cows by natural service and passes a fertility test made by a competent veterinarian during any six month trial period, shall be considered a breeder.

8. LIABILITIES: All persons who attend the sale do so at their own risk. Cattle Brokers, Inc. has been employed by the consignor(s) of the animals being sold solely for the purpose of advertising and conducting the subject sale.
