Ceramic Coated Headers combine improved exhaust flow for more horsepower with exceptional corrosion resistance. The bright ceramic protective coating not only allows for long-term good looks but also provides thermal protection up to 1400°F, reduces underhood temperatures and won't discolor or peel off like chrome or paint. Headers feature 3/8" thick laser-cut flanges and 14 gauge, 1-5/8" diameter full-length primary tubes with 3" collectors to reduce back pressure for improved engine performance versus stock exhaust manifolds. Includes exhaust flange and collector adaptor mounting hardware and gaskets. When installing #36-6056 it is necessary to cut existing lead pipes to attach to the new 3-bolt 3" x 2-1/2" header adaptor pipes included with header set. DO NOT install ceramic coated headers while breaking in a new engine. This WILL result in damage to the ceramic coating. Ceramic coated headers require several heat cycles to fully cure before they will withstand extreme heat. Use exhaust manifolds or old exhaust headers during new engine break-in period.
