As Croatia’s national agency responsible for the audiovisual sector in the country, the Croatian Audiovisual Centre (havc) plays a dual role: it supports the industry by funding development and production through selective schemes, as well as promotes Croatia as a filming location for inter-national productions.

Since 2012, Croatia has been offering a financial incentive for film and tv productions shooting in Croatia in the form of a 20% cash rebate. In the first three years since the incentive’s introduction, a to-tal of 17 film and tv productions benefited, coming from countries as varied as the us, the uk, France, Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Finland, Denmark and Sweden.

Six projects already applied for the cash rebate in 2015, with additional six in the pipeline.
