Addressed to young people, students, and to the creative community,its aim is to stimulate a reflection and to enhance the sensitivity towards the socio-environmental issues, through graphic works able to synthesize and visualize in a direct way the thoughts about the proposed issues.The initiative is aimed to return the projects to the society through immediate ways, on the form of public art enhancing interaction, debate and exchange between people.This to make the creative community’s reflections come into contact with the society.

Posterheroes is a free social communication contest open to anyone. Posterheroes is 50 x 70 posters. Posterheroes does not give money awards. Posterheroes gives voice.

Posterheroes is the creative showcase of the proactive debate about consumption’s present and future, and of the energetic and material resources’ aware fruition.After the contest’s first edition, which was centered on the energies’ production, the second edition proposes the issue of consumption, underlining the user’s rhole as an important actor in the consumption/saving global equilibriums, and not merely as a spectator of broader mechanisms.The contest is a way for young people and for the creative community to express their opinion about the resources’ fruition for a sustainable future.
Which kind of consumption model do you propose?Which kind of scenarium do you imagine for an aware fruition of the energetic and material resources?
Which kind of ideas, choices and actions can be proposed and concretely applied to improve or revolution a reckless and obsolete consumption scenarium?
EXPRESS YOURSELF WITH A POSTER!
Through a 50 x 70 poster imagine suggestions and new solutions for the aware resources’ aware fruition’s future. Open new horizons, suggest and promote new perspectives, enhance debate, exchange, awareness and participation, and give voice to the individuals’ and consumers’ social value.
The sensitization to action of the single person can be useful to the entire community.The water, soil, goods, fossil fuels, (as oil and methane), consumption meets our basic needs, and is the way that allows us to perform our daily activities.

The jury will consider as positive aspects of the works the originality, the quality of the final realization related to the communication and message efficacy, connected to the emotional aspects that the poster is able to transmit.

Posterheroes proposes the debate on the future of the energy policies. Posterheroes is a contest and a way, for young people and for the creative community, to express their own opinion about a sustainable future.The time to make a choice has come!
Focus on developing and diffusing energies that use renewa-bles or keep on go through the way of non renewables? Do nations have the economic resources to take the two parallel paths? Is the environment still willing to accept projects based on the indiscriminate exploitation of natural resources?
Through the design of a 50 x70 poster possible future scenarios have been imagined, opinions have been expressed, messages and suggestions have been diffused. All of this promoted dialogue and exchange, therefore the growth.

The mentioned poster,Elisa Cusimano (IT)
The International Jury, formed by communication experts, chose the best 41 posters. The winning posters will be part of the communication campaign that the cultural non profit association Plug will organize in many italian and european cities.Plug will use innovative and non conventional communication instruments to spread its inner message, “think with your own head and partecipate”, as widely as possible.
475 posters from 50 nations across the world received by Posterheroes are the indication of the diffusion of the contest and partecipation to it by the creative community, that had to think over the issue of the future of the Energy production.
The selected projects come from all over the world, and include all of the points of view about the future of energy. Their common aspect is the freedom of thought and their attempt to spread it throughout society. The gallery includes the 40 best works, plus the poster mentioned as the most brilliant work.
