Prologue15 years agoDraco, your mother will see you now. The nurse said.Thank you, is it a boy or did she finally have her little girl? Draco asked. Youll see. The nurse said as Draco walked into his moms room.Hello my son. Starlana said when she saw her first born.Hey mom, is it another boy or a baby girl? Draco asked.Its a little girl. You name her. Starlana said. Draco looked at his only sister and she smiled at him. Her eyes were grey-green like his grandmothers were. Starlana always said that if Des had another girl, she would name her Andromeda after the maiden saved by the famous Greek hero, Perseus. Then he decided.Andromeda, just like Grandma said. Draco said.Its perfect. Your grandmother would love it Starlana said. Draco and his fifteen brothers and now his only sister were related to the legendary Desperado Alinara Summers. Des saved the Otherworld and Earth. She was the only one in history to possess the great Flame of harmony. Draco felt honored that he was related to her and that he carried out something she always wanted.Andromeda, the North Star Draco said.

Chapter 1Meda, up, its a big day and we need to get started on your lessons. Draco said outside my door while I was still asleep. I got up and I put on a clean shirt and some dark jeans, I quickly put on some makeup and the Snowflake Tiara. Then I walked down the elegant, spiral stairs from my room that once belonged to my grandmother. I walked into the Grand Ballroom and saw my older brother and guard, Draco.Hey Meda, Happy Birthday! Draco said.Hey Draco, and thanks. I said throwing a smile at him.Lets get started on your lessons. Draco said.Okay. Lets get started. I said mocking him.First put your left hand on my shoulder. He said. I then put my hand on his broad shoulder, he then held out his left hand. Give me your right hand. He said. I then handed him my right hand as he put his right hand on my left shoulder blade. Now, follow my moments He said. Draco and I were starting to move back and forth and then circular movements to the music. After I learned to dance formally, it was time for breakfast. I walked down to the Dining Hall.Happy Birthday sweetie! Mom said as I sat down for breakfast.Thanks mama. I said.Happy Birthday Meda! All my other brothers said.Thanks guys. I said. We ate breakfast in silence.After a while the butler came up and said, Your Majesties, The Zacorians are approaching! The Butler said.Defense lines up, prepare for battle! Draco said.They have come under a flag of truce Butler said. Draco, Mom, my other fifteen brothers and I ran out to the court yard to find the Zacorian King there."We have decided to end this war, we ask for forgiveness and willingly take any punishment you give us." The Zacorian King said."Andromeda, Draco, please go and check the dragons, i must handle this on my own." Mom said."Fine and holler if anything goes wrong." Draco said. After Draco turned away, he transformed into a blood red, wyvern dragon. I then hopped onto him and we then flew to the mystical, Field of Dragons. When Draco landed, I got off his back and he transformed back into my brother and started scanning the fields.Draco, do you ever feel like you dont belong here? I asked him.No. Why? He asked.I just feel like I dont belong here in the Otherworld, I know that theres more beyond here. Grandma may have been born here, but she was raised somewhere else. I said.Yeah, and youre a lot like her. Draco said.Draco, you were the only one of all seventeen of her grandkids that knew her, what was she like? I asked.She was every bit as amazing as the stories mom told us. He said.Mom always said she had some sort of energy surrounding her. I said.Yeah, she had a strong energy around her. That was because she had the Flame of Harmony. She showed me a lot of tricks and she showed me so many maneuvers for battle. She told me all the stories of the final battle with Diana and what happened when she was temporarily dead. She was and always will be my idol. Draco said.I wish I knew her. Mom doesnt understand how I feel. Shes lived here her whole life. I said.Mom and Uncle Joseph lived here and they were both crushed when she died. Grandma was amazing in so many ways and I can see a lot of her in you. When you were born, I named you Andromeda because Grandma always said that if she ever had another girl that thats what she would name her. She died when I was your age and I was there. Both her and Grandpa passed on at the same time and before they went on, I promised that my first little sister would be Andromeda. He said. Tears came to my eyes.I wish I knew them, you and some of the others knew them, but I never did. I said.Actually, we all knew her. She spiritually visited all of us before. All of us except for you, if she has, we dont know about it. He said continuing to scan the dragons.Id know if I met her. I always wanted to because all my life Ive heard how much I look and act like her. I never knew anything about her except from what I know from the stories. I said.I know, both her and Grandpa were the greatest ones to ever rule the Otherworld. Draco said.Being the only granddaughter of the great Desperado Alinara Summers is so hard especially since I dont know her. I said.But being her oldest grandson is harder because I have to carry on the legacy that mom and Uncle Joseph are leaving for me. If I fail, I dishonor her name. Draco said.I may not have to carry your burden, but I can help you carry it. I said.Thanks Meda, youve always been easy to talk to. He said.Yeah, sometimes you need me around even if Im a pain. I said.Exactly, and Meda, I had Oryan make this for you. Draco said pulling out a small box. Oryan was my fifth eldest brother and he was the one who enjoyed the art of being a blacksmith. Draco opened the box and inside was a necklace with an A charm on it. It was pure silver (like the stars) and emerald jewels ran along the inner borders of the letter. I was born the same day as my grandmother so that meant that both our birthstones were emeralds.Draco, its beautiful, Thank you. I said. Draco took the necklace out of the box. I turned around so he could put it on me. I turned back around and he smiled.Its perfect. He said. I hugged him. We finished up with the dragons and then Draco had to challenge one to a race. I sat by a tree and made my decision.

Chapter 2Draco, weve decided to call a truce and the Zacorians must listen to you in every battle from now on. Mom said as we all settled into the council chamber.Fine. If they break that truce I will never trust them again. Draco said.You already dont trust them My third eldest brother, Mathew, said.Whats your point? None of us trust them. My tenth oldest brother, Daniel said.Guys, shut up and listen instead of arguing like the meat-heads you are. My second eldest brother, Devon said.I agree with Devon, shut up. I said. All the boys mumbled apologies before listening to mom again.They will protect us from all threats and if they fail, Draco decides the punishment. Mom said.Sounds fair. I said.Yeah, that means the defense lines are going to be stronger and dad can finally come home. Oryan said.Meda, whats the status on the dragons? My fifteenth eldest brother, Will asked.All is normal and Danas egg should be hatching sometime soon. I said. We named one of the dragons after my grandmothers aunt. Danabella was the goddess of animals when my grandmother lived.Good and where did you get that necklace? Will asked.I made it. Oryan said.I think its your best work yet. My fourteenth eldest brother, Crisstofer said.Thank you. Oryan said.Mother, can I speak with you alone after the meeting? I asked.Of course, meeting adjourned. She said. We walked to the library and sat down on the couch.Mom, lately Ive been feeling like I dont belong here, like- I said stopping short.Like you might belong where your grandmother was born. She finished.Yes, I love it here, but I feel like I need to be somewhere else. I need to find out more about whom my grandmother was and I cant do that here. I said.I understand, I was the same way at your age. Your grandmother let me go to the world she was raised in and I saw that I preferred it here. Maybe youll be different, and I will let you go to Earth and live like I did. If you find love there in a year, then you can stay. If not, you come here and stay by your brothers side and become queen like I did. She said.Okay, thank you. I said.My name was Stella when I went to earth and youll have to change your name too. She said.Ashlynn, Draco told me that Ashlynn was my grandmothers cover name when she visited earth a few years before she died. I said.You become more like her every day. I wish you couldve known her like I did. She would be proud to see you today my sweet baby daughter. She said.Thanks mama, I feel bad being the only grandchild she never knew. I said.In a way you do know her. She lives within you and when you were born, you had her eyes. Through the years theyve become beautiful denim blue. She said.Wow. I said. Then I heard a faint voice and I guessed mom heard it too because we both looked in the same direction. The voice grew louder until we heard a song.Hush now my baby, be still, love, dont cry, sleep as youre rocked by the stream, sleep and remember my last lullaby so Ill be with you when you dream. The voice sang. The voice was sweet and it reminded me of an angels voice. Then the figure appeared and I knew who it was.Grandma? I asked.Yes my sweet granddaughter. Youve grown up just as I expected you to. She said.Hello mother. My mom said.Hello Starlana, youve raised her well and Draco has been quite the soldier for her. Grandma Des said.Yes, her being his only sister. He is very protective. Mom said.Andromeda, Ive been watching you your whole life. I see myself in you and Im proud to say that youre my only granddaughter. Your father would be proud to see you now. Grandma Des said.Grandma, Im going to earth. I said.You want to see if you fit in better somewhere else. She finished.Yes, I need to know because I feel like I dont belong here. I said.I never felt like I belonged on Earth. She said.I love everyone here, but I need to know if I belong somewhere else. I said.I understand, I loved my family on earth, but I belonged here and I knew earth would be fine without me. When I went back, Earth was the same as ever and I knew that one day my children would be there, but neither stayed. She said.
