seriously injured by firearms. Say if you got shot in the chest you most likely will be seriously injured or worse but with body armor you have a better chance to live.

• There are layers in body armor that assist in the energy dispersion process and help reduce blunt trauma. The type of layers that make body armor is Kevlar, which is made by DuPont.

• When a bullet strikes a body armor panel, the fibers absorb and disperse the energy of the impact across a generalized area.

How does Body Armor benefit mankind?

• Body armor benefits mankind by protecting all the soldiers and police officers who risk their lives every day for our country.

• Body armor also benefits mankind by being able to be hidden so if you do encounter a dangerous situation you can be prepared.
