On 26th May, 2016 result of Gujarat Secondary Education Board & On 28th May, 2016 result of Gujarat Higher SecondaryEducation Board was declared, and the result of SHN Academy is quite impressive, considering the total result of the board.

Continuing with its tradition of preserving environment and having eco friendly activities the ‘Tree Plantation’program was conducted on 11th June, 2016.

As a part of this program various activities were arranged for the students of primary section, in which the studentsof Std. I to II did leaf painting, students of III & IV stuck leaves of various trees & students of Std. V to VIIIplanted various types of saplings in the school premises.

They were explained about the trees and importance of tree plantation and even helped them how to plant andwater them. Students actively participated in the program.

Can we imagine the world without colours ? Not at all !

Nature itself has many colours, which makes the world look beautiful. With this objective children of Pre-Primary Sectioncelebrated ‘ Red Colour Day’ with zeal on 14th June 2016.

They were attractively dressed in different shades of red and various things of red coloured were shown to the children.

The purpose behind the celebration was to familiarize the children with red colour.

On 15th June 2016, Elocution Competition was organised for the students of Std. V to VIII. The topic given to them was“Environment”. The participants were very enthusiastic. It was miraculous to see none of them nervous, mainly because ofthe enormous preparation by the students under the able guidance of the class teachers. The competition was judged by Ms.Jyoti Motwani and Ms. Kusum Hans.

Interclass English Handwriting Competition

Handwriting is the mirror to the personality of a person.

A neat and beautiful handwriting always seeks the attention of others. To develop awareness and love for good handwritingand also to test the handwriting of the students an Interclass English Handwriting competition was conducted on 17th June2016, for classes V to VIII. All the students participated enthusiastically in the competition. The entries were judged by theclass teachers on the basis of letter formation, word formation, neatness and overall impression. The best two entries fromeach class were given the prize.

This activity helped the students realize the importance of a good handwriting.

Elocution Competition

The international yoga day was celebrated on 21st June to bring peace, harmony, happiness and success to every soul inthe world. This was a great opportunity to imbibe the value of discipline. Yoga is a mental physical & spiritual practicethat needs to be carried out every day. Children got chance to know how yoga embodies unity of mind & body. Thestudents of class I to XII with teachers performed yoga between 7:30am to 8:00am. Different Yoga Asanas (Postures) weredone. Finally the session ended with pranayama and meditation. Prayers were recited before & after the programme.

International Yoga Day

Father’s Day was celebrated by pre-primary and Std.1st & 2nd on 21st June 2016.

Children were given the invitations for their fathers. A small programme was arranged for the fathers. First the children gavegreeting cards to their fathers by wishing them “Happy Father’s Day. After that a dance was performed by the students on song“Papa kehte hai”. Speech on Father’s Day was given by Mrs. Daksha Joshi.

A small play was also performed by the students showing the relation between a father and a son. After that games werearranged for the fathers. The winners of the games were given the prizes.

At the end refreshments were served to the fathers. All the fathers’ and children enjoyed a lot.

An inter house quiz competition was organised on 24th June, 2016 for the students of Std. V to VIII. Questions were based onthe famous personalities. 4 houses were there Yellow house (Std. V), Red House (Std. VI), Blue House (Std. VII), Green House(Std. VIII). In all 3 rounds were there.

At the end of every round the teams were given points.The whole session was conducted under the guidance ofMs. Jyoti Motwani and Ms. Jyoti Chauhan.

It was very informative and interesting. Children enjoyedall the rounds.

A field visit was organized for the students of Pre-Primary Section to a nearby railway station on 28th June 2016. The purposeof this trip was to show them a special mode of transport which move on tracks very fast and carry more passengers at a time.The students also observed ticket counter, different types of trains i.e. Passenger train and Goods/Cargo train. It was indeed awonderful trip.

An Election of Students' Council was held in SHN Academy - Higher Secondary Section and Secondary Section on 29thJune, 2016.

Some of the students gave their nominations for various posts like Head Boy, Head Girl, Leader and Perfects.

On 28th June, 2016, nominated students gave their speech to earn the votes from students. They promised to fulfill theirresponsibilities, make arrangement beneficial to students etc.

On 29th June 2016, the election was held for various posts. The students of Secondary and Higher Secondary section gavevotes to their favorite and capable leader.

Results were declared on 4th July, 2016.
