Budget & Finance Workshop | March 15 | KearneyIt is the responsibility of both the board and Superintendent to manage the finances within the district/ESU. This workshop will feature Superintendents Matt Fisher of Northwest Public Schools and Carl Dietz of Wilcox-Hildreth Public Schools, two school finance experts, who will share their experiences in topics including individual school funds and approved uses; building a budget; how Special Education affects a budget; TEEOSA 101; Negotiations; Cash reserves; sharing information with the community; and more! Spring Legal WorkshopsMarch 13 | Gering March 14 | North Platte March 28 | Fremont* (new date)
One of the most important tasks board members and administrators may face deals with due process hearings, including closed sessions and other legal and procedural issues. It is here where so many questions arise. The first two Workshops will be held next week - March 13 in Gering and March 14 in North Platte. Be sure to register by March 7! The date of the Workshop in Fremont is being changed from March 21 to March 28. The workshop will still be held at ESU 2 and run from 5:15 – 9:00 PM.
