Fabric needs
Two 8" squares in either pinks or blues one light and one darkTwo 5" squares in either pink or blue (opposite of 8") One 12.5" x 2" in black with white print or solid blackOne 7" x 2" in black with white print solid blackOne 4.5" x 2" in black with white print solid blackTwo 7" x 4.5" rectangles in light gray print or solid
To make your half square triangles pair the one light and one dark 8" squaresand your light and dark 5" squares of the opposite colors.
Draw a line from corner to corner on the wrong side of the lighter fabric.
Sew 1/4"away from this line on both sides.
Then cut on the line and press open. You will need to trim the 5" block to 4.5"and the 8" to 7".
Lay out the block as shown below. Sew together the top three pieces and thebottom three pieces then add the 2"x 12.5" piece in the center. Make sure thehalf square triangles are positioned with the seam running from the upper leftto the lower right.
GENERAL RULES:• Blocks must be made of quilt shop quality, modern fabric.• Blocks should be 12.5 inches square…MUST BE within 1/4 inch.• You may make as many blocks as you’d like! Each block gets one entry intothe drawing. There is a $1/block entry fee paid to the guild.• If there are more than 24 blocks, we will split the pile in half and draw 2names
