Hacking Elderly Care

Hackathon 2nd - 7th of October 2016

In the week of 3-7 October The City of The Hague organised a hackathon to support the development

of new solutions which improve healthcare for the elderly.

The main focus was to empower the elderly to live in their own home environment by promoting

self-reliance and providing access to home support. We believe current and future IT solutions can

boost the wellbeing of the elderly.

We have welcomed the Virtual Reality concept 'Elders' as the winning concept of the Hacking Elderly

Care. Mr Abhishek Appaji was part of the winning team and we thank him for his commitment during

the hackathon .

Assistant Professor of Chemical Enqineeri'nq Department of your college/university/Institution has been selected for SMYSR grant by VGST - Subcommittee for the proposal entitled "Forward osmosis membrane concentration of liquid foods" for the fY 2012-13.

The Seed Money to Young Scientist for Research (SMYSR) grant is a one time grant of Rs.5 .00 lakhs only & shall be utilized as per the Generals Terms and Conditions (GTC) of VGST. I am herewith enclosing a crossed cheque for Rs .5,00,000/- (Five lakhs only) vide cheque No ~ 4 Lt 19 \ dated 19/.03/2013. Kindly acknowledge the receipt of this grant in the enclosed format. ·

The GRD number corresponding to SMYSR grant of your institution is GRD - 204. You are also requested to quote the GRD number in future correspondence with VGST.

It is mandatory to utilize 80"/o of the VGST - SMYSR grant under Non - Recurring expenditure {procuring Eguipments through E-t ender procedure) and the remaining 20"/o towards Recurring expenditure as indicated in the Budget Estimate. The procurement of equipment, consumables etc., shalf be initiated only after obtaining VGSTs approval for the Budget Estimate given in PART- A of GRD.

It is also mandatory to keep SMYSR grant in a separate SB A/C in a nationalized bank to facilitate smooth audit work . VGST Generals .. J:..erms _ansL~onditions (GTC) does not allow to keep the SMYSR grant in any of the general SB A/C of the grantee institution. Kindly treat this matter as most important.
