The purpose of the Bellingham Friends of Music is to:
1. Promote the best possible musical education for all students;
2. Broaden the cultural opportunities of the students;
3. Increase the performing and creative skills of students through exposure to all forms of music;
4. Provide incentives for those students with extraordinary musical talent;
5. Make scholarships available to graduating seniors pursuing higher education who have participated in one or more of the programs for band, chorus or color guard. The Bellingham Friends of Music (BFOM) is a community group dedicated to supporting the Bellingham band, chorus and color guard programs. We believe the performing arts add an invaluable dimension to the educational experience of our children. Indeed, it would be difficult to overstate the importance of these programs to many of our students. Through individual donations of time and funds, BFOM supplement the budgets of these programs and hope to increase the scope of the offerings provided to all our students. We would like to thank all of you who have volunteered to work with us in the concession stand at football games and on the Fourth of July, at our golf tournament, at the MICCA competition, and at our other assorted fundraising events.
All music parents from BHS and BMMS (band, chorus & guard)
are welcome and encouraged to attend our monthly meetings.
Our meeting dates are: TUESDAYS:
February 2, March 1, April 5, May 3, June 7 BHS Library at 6:45 p.m.
